Vitasoy 08-05-2004 09:38 AM

So you are our new, news link poster... :winkwink:

Taboo 08-05-2004 09:39 AM

not new for us. just showing how long it takes mainstream to realize :)

I've got a "few" blogs of my own too.

Fletch XXX 08-05-2004 09:47 AM

Another clever element in the use of Blogspot blogs for porn-site advertising is that some parental, business and library Web-filtering systems look less at the content of a site than at its top-level domain name, or where it's hosted, both d'Addario and Marlow said.

"Most of these parental control systems depend on IP addresses as the basis for banning sites," Marlow said. "So maybe (the CyberQuest Blogspot blogs) slip under a lot of the parental control and business control filters."
ah so we are all child porn pushers and we target minors.

Taboo 08-05-2004 09:47 AM

yes, new to gfy. not new to industry. just sold my mainstream internet biz and getting back into this much more exciting industry.

re: wirednews story, they justed posted it Aug. 03, 2004 PT. suprised it took wired that long.

jawanda 08-05-2004 09:47 AM

"It's the latest sleazy porn marketing scheme," said John d'Addario

I had no desire to stay with company cause i would have to relo to SiliconValley area immediately and i just bought a house. decided to return to online adult industry and opening non-adult retail store. diversifying.

The mailer module was built for a client that has over 36 million subscribers across 30 different newsletters.

It's nice :)

We need to update trackingsoft.com as we have been busy getting ROIA out and our adult division taboorevenue.

Everyone in our Taboorevenue network will be using ROIA for their programs in the future.

Let me know if you need any help and good luck with your adventures ;)

It doesn't sound though as you will need any.

Crypt 08-05-2004 12:18 PM

Fletch XXX 08-05-2004 12:22 PM

This story is about us. Our corporation is CyberQuest. One of our affiliates was using our content and created a network of blogs/sites promoting monsterloads.com, coedvids.com and pornnewcomer.com. This guy flew under the radar doing 3-5 signups a day. Once I found out, I spoke to Daniel at Wired who wrote the story and explained to him that a reseller was promoting our sites and this was not done intentionally and directly by us. I also spoke to the ReelProfits webmaster and asked him to modify and/or remove his links asap which he is in the process of doing.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a 'gray area' and I don't think the webmaster is wrong and he will still get paid for his signups and rebills. If anything, I commend him for thinking outside the box. I think it was a little overdone on his part creating a network of 60-100 blogs promoting our stuff and also using some false advertising like 'Paris Hilton' and 'Lindsay Lohan'.

Wired is gonna do a follow-up story soon from what he told me..

If he was only doing 3-5 joins per day, he wasn't doing a very good job :)

Depends on how long he's been doing it. Takes a few months for the blogs to get listed in google.

Actually it wouldn't take a lot to get me uptodate. We have been watching google for some time and how our mainstream affiliate links have worked.

We went from a .cgi? to a more user friendly url like a/2/me for our clients links but they are smarter than your average engine :)

Like the blogs they are some ways to sneak around them but you have to be careful...

Are either of you going to be in FL ? (wired or crypt) I would love to pick your brains :Graucho

edit I forgot to mention, we had over a million links pointing to us 6 months ago. (our mainstream stuff) hence the reason we are always trying to utilize those affiliate links.

will do. i'm here to network. you'll think I'm joking when I tell you this, but:

I use to own the domain name taboorevenue.com

(+ many other BLANKrevenue/BLANKcash domains - and let it go years ago) to pursue mainstream. lol. taught me a lesson. but everything happens for a reason. if I didn't let it go, i may not have ever networked with you. I still have lots of taboo domains (+thousands of others) but that's not what I'm launching yet. will fill you in later. I also use to own the domain: internextexpo.com LOL. no joke. I should go fuck myself.
