re: World Wide Content -- READ.
About 2 months ago I spent almost $2,000 with Moses at World Wide. This was my first time as a buyer; I shoot my own content, but my new project means buying content. I know of a lot of content providers, and checked them all out, and I decided to make Moses an offer on 100+ scenes.
During the haggling process, he was always a gentleman -- even when we went back and forth on prices/quanities of scenes. Part of the deal we finally struck: the content was to be delivered to me on hardrive. Harddrive shows up, on schedule. I load the first scene, begin to render, and the harddrive crashes. Really crashes. (This is why we now steer clear of Western Digital HD's...it's not the first time a WD took a shit on me). I begin to worry. I need Moses to not only make good on a new harddrive, but to transfer the scenes *again* on to the new harddrive. We all know about this business and some of the people in it...people who aren't professionals. I'm thinking the worst as I watch the HD fail over and over. In the end, Moses and World Wide came through. Totally. New harddrive. Content shipped again in a timely manner. Apologies. Phone numbers given no problem. No dodging ICQ's. No dodging phone calls. Total pros from beginning to end. I know where I'm going to buy more content when I'm ready to buy again. Thanks Moses. :thumbsup |

Webmasters, I have done work with a lot of people, but Moses and the people at wwc are on top of their S**t. I mean, I ordered some content from them a while ago, and Moses went out of his way just to deliver it to me personnally so I have it on time, Way to go Moe.. I have my own studios, so buying content is something I do not do very often - Had a problem yesterday where a content producer asked one of my affiliates to remove content that I had legally purchased for the use of my programme.
No need to go into too much detail - But I received 8 threatening emails over this by the content producer, and the guy refused to look into his records to check that the deal we made was exactly for this. Eventually got things sorted with him but it cost me a whack of cash having to use my solicitor (advokat/atorney) At the end of the day, one content producer played God for no reason - Bookmarking this thread means I can look forward to buying content when I need it without problems. Always nice to here about more stand up guys in this biz - I only like to deal with them:thumbsup |
The funny thing is that a thread like this probably has a marketing value far greater than the costs of dealing with the problem in such a stand-up way.
