sort of a 2257 related question

How long until someone offers a service where I can easily set up a database of my content? It would allow me to include a thumbnail of a model so I can easily see who he or she is and it would let me easily enter a field everytime I use her including the provider, aliases, url etc and all the other stuff I need. It would automaticlly update every time I made a change and maybe even generate whatever html pages I need to have. Then as long as you did it every time I used her/his content it wouldn't be such a problem.

I fully admit to still being confused so if this wouldn't solve any problems then forgive me.

I wonder how many models will retreat from their contracts because they don't like to have so much infos about them on the internet.Sometimes they should read the new bills before they pass, but everything against porn is always good...

See, in many ways this is why I love this industry. Whenever something happens it just becomes another buisness opportunity. Don't price it TOO high boys there is going to be a lot of little and medium guys that need it too.

You can not be custodian of records without being a employee of the company.
Also who are you ? and why would someone trust their records to you?

Do a filemaker pro database I hear they are not that hard to do and very user friendly. We are doing it the old fashion way all paper including copies of the images.

I am sitting on a solution for this now. We are working out the kinks and will be going live ASAP....Probably another couple of weeks though.

Unlike keepmyrecords.com...There is no grey area with the way we are doing it. We are currently looking into the possibliity of offering the service as a not for profit organization.

I'm off to go shooting.....And not camera stuff Today. :) :BangBang:

yay for you. That sounds promising and obviously as a content supplier it is in your (and others) best interest to keep people comfortable with buying content on a regular basis. :thumbsup

Hey Sarah :)

I'm working on a solution of sorts from several angles at http://www.2257ez.com

This will probably be free for entering info and grabbing the info back in a formatted manner haven't decided quite how to pay for this monster yet though.

If you are looking for something quick and simple to use on the desktop, let me know and I will see what I can put together for you quick and easy. From the angle of organizing records, this is not a major problem. The main problem on this for most folks will be collecting the info that needs to be organized.

Well I'm guessing that when you contract with him to keep your records you can make him an employee.

Of course I'm pretty sure there's something in the law that says the records have to be at your regular place of business.

thanks, I will have a look. I have to be honest and say that I am still confused about what exactly I need, for what, where it has to be and what has to be on it.

baddog 08-04-2004 05:08 PM

I may have something that is already adaptable to do that. Feel free to contact me at baddog @ contentshopper.com or ICQ 1607-5497

Brandon at fightthepatent is also doing this. He started 2257lookup.com and will be doing a database as well. He has always been trutworthy and selfless in his defense of the industry.

I am banking on him to help out the content producers.

2257lookup does not do any holding of records nor custodian of records or any databasing for cross-index for primary record keepers.

There are many other companies looking to do that, but we are focused on providing a report that matches images up with content producers.

2257lookup is a great complement to other services and we have our defined niche, and others have theirs.
