this is re. this thread: Why does EVERY European want to immigrate to the USA?

lets show you what Europeans think about the US:

- US people are eating burgers all day long and prefer junk food over a well prepared and presented meal

- US people are fat and ugly

- Theres no working health system in the US, thats why you have so many retarded people

- You prefer visiting fake historical building in Vegas over the original historical buildings in Rome, Egypt and elsewhere

- The educational system is poor. No money = No education. Thats why you sometimes forget that most of you white americans have relatives in Europe

- You are way too proud of your army while the rest of the western world is trying to find peace

- US people have no style and no cultural background

- All the US guys have at least one gun at home or at hand. This is actually more dangerous long-term than any terrorist org.

- Please complete this list .... !

ONE THING I HAVE TO SAY HERE: I know quite some US people ... i met them on vacation over in thailand and costa rica and i can honestly say that all the US people I know, have nothing to do with the list above. They were cool and friendly people :thumbsup

jeez ... i know this list is simply not true. But thats how some stupid people think when they have no clue about the US (or from the other point of view) about Europe.

I'd add to that as a european (I guess) I have the impression a lot of americans never travel outside their country so they have no idea apart from what they see on TV of the world outside USA and the ones you meet abroad have actually travelled and they are much sounder but are sadly the minority

theres one interesting thing. When i remember back about 15 years, European people where really looking over to the US ... Trends, cool products and great music usually came from the US. Hell, i remember it was cool already to know someone from the US. Its sad somehow but i think this really changed.

Need to find quality U.S. webmaster programs and hosting solutions? Your world revolves around the U.S., that's why you're pissed. There is probably 1/10 of the US people that fit that profile . In any country there are stupid bastards but I dunno why in US they just stand out more . For 1 retarded redneck there are 9 other good citizens .

That´s it and it´s just the other way round: there are 1/10 stupid people in every country who believe in those prejudices. But it seems to be that those people talk loudest.

Wasn't it Jeff Foxworthy who says every time there is a news item on TV they interview the worst possible person? Some redneck or something?

I have a few friends who recently moved here from the Middle East. Their opinions of the US was that we are all "fat, lazy, drive big cars and live in big houses". After living here for a year they've discovered that the US is not unlike any country in the Middle East, although our standard of living is a bit higher.

On other hand, what do we think about the Middle East? Don't they all live in huts?
