The engine looks good, but sofar it seems pretty boring compared to Farcry.. maybe it's just me but I really hope the game will change from "shooting zombies and monsters in dark hallways" into something more exciting?

But I guess we'll have to wait for HL2 to get something good :Graucho

Yeah, played it today, but I don't like it. The graphics and all that stuff are great, but I hate this "dark" style of the game. It's like playing Quake with a disabled monitor.

I don't like killing monsters.

I like killing real people in games it's a lot more fun.

I just cannot play 3d shooters at all .. I don't enjoy it . Unless playing multiplayer with novice guys (not like counter strike lol)

Doom 3 has huge expectations surrounding it.. I'd have to make hot chicks run to your house and give you blowjobs 3 times a day to live up to all the hype. :2 cents:

I have and it's graphics are amazing but can't help but feel been here done that about it...

its awesome... graphics are sweet and the game runs pretty smooth on my rig (2.2ghz P4, 1 gig rdram, ti 4600)...

its a good 'horror' game... they have all kinds of shit jumping out of crazy places tryin to catch u off guard. Im lookin forward to some tactical mods that will eventually get dev'd on the engine...

Great game to play at night after taking a laxative.

Game is pretty intense. Very dark and demented. Pretty far into the game and am very impressed. :thumbsup

You people are just hype jumpers, not doom fans. Doom 3 was NEVER intended to be multiplayer based. The 4 player limit deathmatch and the complete lack of co-op was intentional. Don't hold your breath for Half-Life 2... I have a feeling THAT will be a huge let down and i've played Half-Life since 1998. I can't wait for the Doom 3 mods that will be out, the graphics engine is amazing, and the game was created with mod developers in mind. Mods will be able to support up to 32 players, not 4.

I'm using headphones and damn is that shit freaky. I have to take the headphones off everyone now and then while playing. :(

Im rockin the game, up in the communications tower now. I love it, the graphics are fantastic, and it holds true to old ID gameplay. Excellent game.
