"Safe" countries to not redirect traffic from

What Areas/Countries do you think it's safe to say that they have credit cards and are less prone to fraud, and should be let through?

US
CDN

ENGLAND?
AUSTRALIA?
GERMANY?
AUSTRIA?

JAPAN?

Please offer.. And what dialers do you think do better for the countries you list.

Thanks

Maybe I should just post something with naked pictures and it would get a response.

Hi EvilShaun,

In the case of Germany & Austria there is about a 22-30% CC penetration. The solution I see most used is Direct Debit. I would say Direct Debit accounts for around 60+% of all transactions for SEXMoney.com in these countries.

With that said, this traffic converts very well if you have the means to convert it.

A few things to keep in mind...

#1 You need to have the site in the native language of the surfer
#2 You will have to have the correct billing in place
#3 See #1 & #2

I would be glad to discuss this further with you and I can be reached via ICQ, Email or Phone. :thumbsup

Warm regards,

I find it bizarre the number of big programs who redirect Australian traffic.

I agree. It is a good market. That's why I redirect Japanese traffic to Japanese sponsors. I make more money that way.

Varius 08-04-2004 12:48 AM

Australia is great for creditcards, they almost never chargeback :thumbsup

I've heard great things about dialers in Germany and most of Europe for that part.

The only real countries that should worry you for creditcards are China and Russian :2 cents:

{fusion} 08-04-2004 12:52 AM

yeah redirecting to a japan sponsor is cool , i just thought he meant countries that have high fraud and chargebacks.

malayisa and thailand are the worse in the worse. hong kong have credit cards but there too tight to buy online :)

Hey Evilshaun,

Your list is on the right track. For countries you do not sort and let through you should still offer as many billing solutions as you can to guarantee the sale.

For countries you sort look for a company that can provide you a start to finish process in the end user's native language, and that includes: sites, creative, billing options, customer support and member's areas.

I would also look for a company that can provide you with info on what niches work best on a country by country basis.

The goal is simple: Give yourself the best opportunity to convert 100% of your traffic into sales, while at the same time, giving yourself the best chance to build recurring traffic and income.

I would love to discuss this further with you.

Will you be in Miami?

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: using onlyt dialers is really dumb. Understand the way europe handles financial transactions and you'll make a lot more. Of course you can offer dialer payment, but just don't auto-install and ALWAYS offer it besides debit card payment. Debit card payments are the #1 method to use in europe

Hi evilshaun,

I think all of the countries that you mention have the potential of being "good" credit card countries. The change back you will have depents a lot on how aggressive and how transparent you make the sale. Also it depends a lot on how good the scrubbing of your credit card biller is in each of those countries. You might want to work with various local credit card biller in the various regions.

Debit card is a very interesting option for Germany.

On top of whatever you decide to do you should offer a dialer in addition - for the end-users who do not have a credit card or who do not want to use their credit card. Also in "high-risk" markets dialers are a good complementary billing solution, as they are usually charge back free.

If you need more information about worldwide billing please check out the articles in my sig, or hit me up on ICQ.

Cheers,
Andreas
