Looks like a good idea. I have a friend who started a similar business when he was in college. You could call him up and he'd go get you anything you wanted from anyplace. $6 or 20%...whichever was more. He made a killing doing that. He even got deals with several popular places here in town so he got the food at a discount which increased his profit margin even more.

Kozmo.com - they did this and blew through $100 Million +

Damn I miss that service. Kicked ass while living in NYC.

It was called Kozmo.com. They got over $150 million from investors to get up and running.

They had a great service in NYC. Their delivery people were at my office at least 2-3 times PER DAY!

But...as with all those "companies" duing the Dot Com Boom, they tried to do more than they could handle and opened up in cities all over the place. Blew $100 Mil and their investors pulled the plug.

It was sad to see them go. They should have just stuck to Manhattan and they would have had a nice little business.

At first is was snack foods, drinks, smokes, movies, and video games. They had return drop boxes all over the city.

Then they started delivering just about anything. I bought my first Palm from them and had it delivered in under an hour.

i like the fact he mentions AZ :)

Someone tried something like that here and the operating costs were too high to make it profitable.
