SEO QUESTION: keyword density, and amount of text
These questions are intended for people who do well with search engines.
First, what is the approximate keyword density that works best? 5%-10%? Second question is, how important is it to have a lot of text on a page, and what is the recommended amount of text? I notice that my pages that have a lot of text on them, do better then pages with less text... your views? |

less text the better bro to increase your density for your seo pages .:thumbsup

The more text the better. Search Engines like content.
Stuff it with keywords (about 4%) |

Yahoo and supposedly MSN put more weight on copy/text on your pages than google does, so it's very important. Using H1 tags for headers that include your keywords and bold, italics...around your keywords helps. Putting more important text near the top of page helps and maybe even important keywords at the beginning of sentances and paragraphs may help. For density, I myself worry that there will eventually be a filter penalizing you if you are over 6% or so density as it may look like obvious stuffing... I can't say first hand about the above but this is from what I have read on SEO boards...

I don't believe they will penalize for this, but a higher density then recommended probably hurts your rankings |

Try another board for that. Not too many SEO gurus here (at least the ones that will give you free traffic advice)
