Ever Noticed This About AVS Systems?

I signed up for a new AVS three days ago, and somehow got two signups even before my site was approved, and then two the next day. It looked like I was going to be getting about 1 in 50 visitors signing up, which would've been great. Since then, hardly a sign up at all.

Now, I have a feeling AVS's give you some fake sign-ups at first to get you hooked. I know you also go on a NEW list which gets you some traffic, but that would be mostly surfers who're already signed up, wouldn't it?

Anyone here ever worked for an AVS? Do they actually "prime the pump" with fake sign-ups to get you to hang in there for a while?

I consistently do about 1 signup in 90 on one of the more well known AVS proggies and have never noticed any indescretions. However, I have noticed the quick signup scenario you described on some other (non-AVS) sponsors.

I believe it would be ALL surfers who've already signed up. For example to get into AdultCheck's list you have to enter your adultcheck id.

So you really shouldn't get any signups at all from that traffic, but it's good high-quality traffic to sell your sponsers to.

You get a lot of signups from any AVS New List because the AVS systems buy traffic and send it to the Link Lists.

Sexkey is great. I put a site on it and usually get 1-2 signups from the New List.

With all the link popularity, all these AVS' get a lot of SE traffic also.

You dont need a pass to see the Link Lists.

Sorry, Wildman's right. Either you used to or I'm crazy. It's been over a year since I was into AVS's.

I can't speak for other avs systems, but I can tell you that FreeNetPass and PremiumNetPass do not give "fake" sales just to hook you in. We think our webmasters convert just fine without our help, and even if we didn't think this it would not be healthy for us to give them a false sense of what they will be doing for conversions with us.

Yeah, when I was doing avs stuff, it seemed like when I submitted sites to a new one it was easier to sell stuff. I think it was more an effect of introducing different content and styles into a new system more than just being hooked up.
