Is Jay one of the better ones out there? Just trying to get a feel of what the top SEO's gross in a year.

I know that some of the top SEOs who are in the first ranks for big affiliates like zanox, amazon etc. are getting between 50.000 and 200.000 a month.

Nice, I meant to specify adult though.

For me it's a catch 22.

I like having lots of people to network with, but I don't like to educate/motivate all my competitors... which why I don't post in as many SE threads as I read ;)

Having said that, all honest SEO people who work hard and are looking for honest allies are welcome to contact me for some networking ;)

johndoebob 08-02-2004 11:03 PM

No clue about adult only seo earnings. Most seos seem to stick to non adult tho.Zanox said their bigger affiliates are earning 50.000EUR+ (~60.000$) per month.

kush 08-02-2004 11:06 PM

There IS money in it, but it's a FINITE amount.
The competition IS getting tougher every day, and breaking into the market will only become more difficult as time goes by.

And I do believe that while there will be more and more people reaching into SE cookie jar as time goes by, more and more people will become disappointed, and there will be a larger accumulation of 'se wealth' into fewer hands as time goes by.

Cheers!

Never hurts to setup multiple networks depending if you're a black hat, white hat or somewhere in between :)

Certainly correct, I've pseudo-adopted your style ;)

johndoebob 08-02-2004 11:13 PM

Well google is just starting to clean out the mainstream closet. Most affiliate only sites with no real content will get banned or get really really down and the owners know that they won't be making the real big amounts with mainstream in a year or two, so they just keep it going and prepare for the worst.

SEO is something that i am looking to invest on big time, still in the search for a good and honest person to work with. WiredGuy is too devoted to the bots that he sleeps with. :Graucho

Just get a person to buy you links and do lots of link trades (backlinks on other domains if possible).A guy for creating lots of good keyword target doorway pages also won't hurt (no autogenerated crap because that's get you google banned really fast).SEOs who do the same thing usually will charge you 10 times more or more.

DarkJedi 08-02-2004 11:30 PM

Jay is good.

Proof that hard working pays off.

Additionally, with the expansion of more black hat SEO'ers, ethical SEO practices will be tossed aside.

With Google's infamous "report this site" feature (which takes months at a time to actually take effect)... Black hat SEO will make its mark until Google cleans up its act.

Honestly, I don't really belive that.

If you do unethical stuff to get high rankings, people can always analyze your backlinks, then you'll be discovered. Then after a while you'll be gone.

So while scammers are constantly working to build more deceptive stuff (and are constantly losing their short term positions), honest people are reinforcing their listings for long term.

That's my take.

With all due respect, I don't see why an SEO would want to teach potential competition their trade secrets. If you want to *join*, learn it yourself. Since you seem to have the will to put the time to learn, do a couple searches and start learning and keep in touch with webmasterworld.com. That'll get you started.

If you've already got an existing network of websites with PR, then go ahead. But if you don't, you need to learn SEO on your own, build some sites, market them, and then contact me.

I can't work with anyone who doesn't already have something in place.

link ? :)

johndoebob 08-03-2004 03:31 AM

DarkJedi even if you won't believe me lots of content which is regulary updated and quality inbound links are enough exept you're going for impossible to get high areas like last minute traveling etc. It's no problem to get an affiliate site up under a subdomain just with guestbook spamming where you have maybe 100-200 links from PR2-PR6.The biggest sites have the most content and the best quality inbound links, it ever was like that and it ever will be like that.

strobi 08-03-2004 04:30 AM
