I read somewhere that you have a prowler, was wondering if you have done or were considering to do any modifications? I picked one up in march thinking about doing some mods to add some kick to it.. but can't find a lot of feedback from prowler owners

Prowlers are a rare car there are only 10 that are in New Mexico alone =O)

I've got a Borla exhaust and cold air intake which are good for 19HP. But it really doesn't need it, it's a kick without it!

What color do you have?

mines silver, what about yours?

did you keep the front bumper on yours? i had them removed a week after i got the car.

i was checking out some exhausts, not a lot of options for the prowlers.. the HMS header/exhaust claims 22hp

you really cant do much to a prowler, the v6 is a piece of shit so supercharging is out of the question, you'd have to import a whole new engine, so the next best thing is n02, which isn't good for a crap engine, plus a 5lb tank lasts you about half a day at the track. Prowler owners usually buy for 'looks' but performance wise there really isn't much you can do with it. borla will add 19 hp like lens said for about 1500 and hms cost almost 5000 for 3 more hp- not worth it.

MrBrian if i remember correctly you have a couple rx-7's right? sweeet looking rides, i had a tt 2 years back, biggest mistake was to sell it

You could probably fit a 4.0L V8 in there
but the torsion would twist the frame.

Maybe if you put some titanium bars across
the undercarriage it wouldn't snap it in half.

Then again, it's a cruiser car, not a drag-racing hot rod.

the 3 i chose for the plates were GRRRR 69, GRRR 69 and GRRRR 01. they didn't give me the 69's but i got the 01. should be coming in the mail any day now!

my good friend bought an rx7 a few years ago, the thing's a money pit. He's got oz rims, a blitz turbo, and a nice body kit. We blew his rear end when we raced a porsche. He has over 400 horsepower so i guess the shit stock rear end couldn't take it.

It can beat a viper off the line but the viper pulls away in third gear.

a viper should beat a 400hp rx7 out of first gear...middle of 2nd and up the rx7 wins.

you forget i was in the car with him, that's another 175 pounds. We we're on the highway when we raced the viper so we we're already going 100kms, so i can't really say what would happen in a quarter mile. He says he beat a viper though.

I'll post a picture when i get one. If you hang around that rx7 board you've probably talked to him, who knows.

prowlers suck! basically just a sucker future car to get the newbie yuppie excited. All show, no go! I feel for any sap who paid $ for one of these. I heard they were giving them away for advertising once. I simply declined. Plymouth just cant make a good car since the SuperBee! too bad. I heard that a prowler cant take a simple turn at 30 MPH or it will flip. Obvious by the prehistoric front suspension.

For 42,000.00..... if youcant afford a BENZ.. at least get a Lincoln Towncar or something respectable. shit

When the dodge viper was initially released to engineers to take home overnight, so many of the cars ended up wrapped around telephone poles. it was unbelievable. I do believe that the engineers have to take a driving class before they're allowed to touch 'em nowadays.

My guess is you get pulled over by Johnny Law about every 15 miles driving that 60's refugee
