Factors those let you decide if your project will succeed?

Situation:
I live in Lithuania where harcore porn is banned and the only niche that is allowed is softcore. As I know we got only one running softcore site here: http://www.vanile.lt/lt/ , so the competition isnt very high.

Question:
What numbers and statistics should I pay my attention to, before starting a new softcore project? How to calculate the percentage of succeeding?

Thanks

your question is rather broad :)

Why don't you put up a site and find out?
we have a lot of very reasonably priced softcore sets here http://www.midnightdigital.com/softcore.html

why does it matter if you host on a US server?

Hardcore porn is illegal on Australian servers too but everyone here hosts on US servers :thumbsup
