Douglas Silva and Darlan Cunha, two of the young actors in City of God, are expected to star in the sequel. The two, now teenagers, already star in the TV miniseries City of Men, which has aired on Globo TV in Brazil since 2002.
Production is scheduled to start in 2006

I had seen this movie coming for months and eagerly waited for it to hit shelves on DVD after it was delayed for 4 months for god knows why...
Great movie... But.... When I watched it, I was a little tired and not in the mood for subtitles. With all of the hype I thought it was in English
I think it's a toss up and some will argue towards it being better subtitled, but I think on that specific night I was wishing it was like an old godzilla movie --- with English
Great story, hopeful for the sequel -- in English.Comment
