**Don't waste your time much promoting the ringtones though, as the market is pretty saturated, but the GAMES are VERY HOT right now, and pretty much sell themselves at $2.99 each with a selection of 109 games!

(most local phone carriers are charging their clients $8-12 per game, and only have 10 or 15 to choose from) :(

I think one of the things you can do in adult is you can create a good bit of traffic without spending tons of money. In mainstream its all about buying traffic. Thats what I did for a living with a mainstream .com before I did adult.

Yes that is quite true in alot of things - esp. my casino ( www.lucky-dice.com ) I spend upwards to $500 some days with PPC campaingns, but I make maybe $900, so I look at it as the cost of doing business. Gotta spend money to make money.

So true. Adult traffic (TGP/Freesite) is so much cheaper than good retail traffic (mainstream).

But I am not convinced it is more productive. :(

Nice thing about mainstream, is that if I spend $500 in PPC, I can predict what I will make with my sponsors withing a pretty narrow margin of error. Adult is all over the boards. Good one day, and sucks ass the next.

You can't compare the two though. Good mainstream traffic to the right site can convert better than just about any porn traffic.

I've noticed that if you're any good with adult SEO traffic... you can really kick ass with non adult, or at least I can. The listings are much easier to get, I guess from having much less competition.

only mainstream i do is for my ad agency clients and they just pay for traffic. they dont care if it converts. they'll spend a hundred grand in a week just to spread word of a new product.

only mainstreamer i know of is my mom actually. her and my sis have some crazy ebay scheme going thats making them about 5k a week. not bad for a couple housewives!
