Nick Carter beat Paris Hilton
 

July 31, 2004 -- A bruised and battered Paris Hilton is telling pals ex-boyfriend Nick Carter hit her, leaving the ugly marks on her face and arms.

In photos, Hilton has an obviously swollen lip and bruises up and down both arms.

She has said the bruising came in Los Angeles Monday evening, after she and Carter joined pal Amanda Demme at the Argyle Hotel, where Demme throws a weekly party.

"They were dirty dancing together," said one Argyle spy. "They were very lovey-dovey, staring into each other's eyes. We all thought they were back together."

But after Hilton and the ex-Backstreet Boy left the Argyle to party at another club, Joseph's, the mood turned sour.

"Nick wanted to leave, Paris didn't," said a Hilton pal, adding, "Nick forced Paris to leave, he made her get in a cab with him."

Hilton alleges to friends Carter later lost his temper.

Friends say Hilton is "scared to death."

there are thousands of women and children that get severly physically abused hopsitalized and killed every year..Paris is not an abused women.. she probably couldnt keep her mouth shut and she probably attacked the backbut boy and he slapped her around...and I am sure alcohol was invloved.

Her situation does not mean that she is any less deserving of compassion, than the woman who remains in an abusive relationship.

I didnt say she deserved it.. but I bet she brought it on and she isnt as innocent.. I just get pissed that everyone is going nuts with this news instead of reporting the women that suffer from this and are really beaten and sometimes beaten to death.

hell, Kids get the shit kicked out of them on a daily basis somewhere on this earth everyday..but do you see the media report that or the public give them attention or sympathy..no.. they would rather us focus on some spoiled bitch that got brusied up a bit...if she had the shit beat out of her and was fearing for her life.. I find it disturbing that you consider certain types of violence towards women more acceptable than others.

I said I find it sickening that the media is making this out to be something more than what it was. Why don't they do this for those that that are abused and beaten to death.. I guess it wouldnt pay that well and that no one cares if a wife gets beaten to death in front of her kids (example).

The media hype makes me nauseus and it's taking away the seriousness of the situation of abuse. She is using the media to attract attention to "herself"..not to the fact that this is like a disease to many households and something should be done about it...she wants pity and america is giving it to her..once again.

Nicole simpsons case was totally different..and you know it.. that woman was repeatadly beaten and abused over numerous years till she was finally brutally murdered by her abuser and he walked free and clear. Paris got into the cab with nick.. yeah like he forced her.. please.. If i was standing there and I thought my girlfriend was in danger.. she would have been physically removed from the area and the asshole..so her friends are that clueless or maybe she has no true friends.. could all be alcohol induced..who knows.

I do know there are guys on here that are saying she deserved it and you are picking me and putting words on here that I did not say nor do I agree with.

Flashy bimbos sell newspapers, that is a fact of life, and there's no escaping it.

Rarely does a no-name housewife being abused hit the news; whether it be because they aren't aware of the situation, or to protect the privacy of the victim and her family.

Since Ms Hilton, as a public figure has essentially given up all rights and expectations of privacy, her story is apparently fair game to the press. Not only will it sell newspapers, but it does indeed reinforce the idea of violence being unacceptable. That constant reinforcement is what helps change society.

Personally, I'll take whatever we can get to make people realize that it's unacceptable; whether it be a bimbo, or a battered housewife- it all contributes to changing society in a positive way.

I agree with most of what you have to say, But I think the attention she is getting is not for the good.. it is just media hype and pity party for her ..we can agree to disagree on certain aspects of this :)


I have however been around alot of abused women.. my house was a safe house for abused friends at one time (before the hubby and all the kids). I do know how people can escalate a situation and cause the abusive person to lash out.. I have seen it too many times. I have been there myself. no I didnt deserve it..but I could have prevented it and walked away. Alcohol and drugs are such a major factor in the out of control behavior and abusive situations..it saddens me .

Chirst , I could go on and on today about this subject but probably not productive in any shape or form.

I try to have a little sense from time to time, but unfortunately I can think of several people, both male and female, who not only deserve, but need to have the shit beat out of them on a regular basis. :1orglaugh
