Do you live by the beach?

I do....

the humidity sucks, but other then that it's great to live 5 minutes from the beach....

we're expecting a lot of tourists in my city during the summer....should be fun :glugglug

quiet 08-01-2004 04:23 AM

i live in the mountains :glugglug

xclusive 08-01-2004 04:31 AM

I live about 8 miles from the beach so it's not too bad...

Groove 08-01-2004 04:36 AM

I'm less than 5-minutes from the beach.

At the moment I can see whales most days.

wyldblyss 08-01-2004 04:37 AM

I live across the street from the lake. My next house will be right on it (the shore obviously)

Raf1 08-01-2004 04:38 AM

I live among a lot of lakes. About 10 years ago I lived near the beach in Sydney

kowntafit 08-01-2004 04:40 AM

I'm about a 10min walk from the beach, it's cool but I don't really go anymore. It was handy when I used to surf.

Groove 08-01-2004 04:45 AM

Bat-Yam ?

ErinM 08-01-2004 04:47 AM

I live pretty close to the beach, but I just moved here so I haven't gotten a chance to check it all out yet.

Living For Today 08-01-2004 04:47 AM

No it's about an hour drive up or down the coast for me unfortunately which means no surfing every day.

I'd love to live in a place like that. BEach, Forrest or mountains.

But For now I'm a city boy ;)

could be...but it's not that bad...I never noticed anyways :)

crockett 08-01-2004 06:10 AM

I'm about 2-3 min walk away from the beach.. :)

The Other Sweetie 08-01-2004 06:10 AM

I'm about 5 miles from the beach. I can deal with the humidity. It's the winters that suck. I used to have a place on the beach several yrs ago and almost hated it. Was way too windy and cold all the time.

A big thing is mold because of all the moisture. My friend has a home on the beach and he had a serious mold problem last year. Ended up costing him $35k to get rid of it.

Goatse 08-01-2004 07:06 AM

I spent a summer in a beach home in my teens and I couldn't wait to leave. The bikinis are nice, and so is the ocean, but the bugs were annoying. So was having sand in your ears, ass, etc.

If I had more money, I'd buy a log home in the Rocky Mountains with 100 acres of land. Now that would be heaven.

sweetsally 08-01-2004 07:09 AM

I love the beach!! Think I'll check it out today if it doesn't rain. I'm about a half hour drive away.

Nothing better than looking out your window at girls in bikinis, white sand and blue water...

right on!!

When I lived a block from the beach, I had constant rust on everything..bicycle..car..appliances inside.. fucking surfer punks that loved to use my yard to store their surfboards.

Skin cancer sucks..

flatland is not my thing

fr8 08-01-2004 06:43 PM

I did when I was younger. No longer do now. I miss the beach. :(
Ocean City Beach Virginia :thumbsup

KRL 08-01-2004 06:45 PM

I lived in Marina Del Rey for a couple years when I was young and in Florida 1 block from the beach for a couple years. It's really not that safe down here to be that close to the ocean. During the Hurricane season you always have to be ready to evacuate and the storm surge can completely flood you out.

pornguy 08-01-2004 06:45 PM

I can walk to the beach in under two minutes, I can see the surf from my windows, and listen to the waves all night long.

That is the view from my bedroom and front porch.

brand0n 08-01-2004 06:46 PM

fuzebox 08-01-2004 08:22 PM

The water is close enough to throw empty beer bottles into it from my balcony.
