all this spam must be hurting us...
 

my girlfriend pointed this out to me.. she was in an aol chat room for about 30 minutes.. and this is how her mailbox looked when she was done. this shot doesnt even show half of all spam-porn mail she got.

i mean this aol spam shit is getting way out of hand and its affecting our pockets slowly but surely.

That all doesent look like spam.. Some of it looks like people in the chat room were just sending her mail.. It might still be spam though because spammers use subjects like that to catch you eye..

..anyways.. One thing I have found on aol is to not have a profile.. I have seen programs that just do random serches in the members derectory and strips any profile that pops up and spams away.. So you doent even have to go in a chat room to get spammed if ya have a profile..

That is hella mail for 30 minutes.. They might have allready been in her box..

the reason why i posted it was because she went into a chat with an empty mailbox and ended up with 60+ peices of porn spam.

I have had aol for about four years and it has always been bad like that. Especially when you go in the chat rooms or have a profile. I got really bored one time and sent some to tos and then looked up affiliate codes and sent them to the sponsers. I think AOL is the worst for getting spam in your email.

What makes it worse is all the IM spams as well.. They did fix that alot though.. It just blocks the members name if you push cancel when they IM..

I remember that it used to be hella out of control.. Non stop ringing of IM's all day long.. But its way better now..

mindwaste, just read some of those subjects above. "hey i met you in the chatroom" 3-4 times, but the mail is coming from yahoo, "here it is" a couple times. "i just moved pretty close to you" a couple times. i bet it's all spam.
