IQ is kind of a false indicator and an altogether flawed test, specially when it comes to intellegence, knowledge, and applying both.

Lowest: Most members of the "would you hit it?" gang would score in the mid-70's, one would assume.

IQ test are more or less mathematical and problemsolving tests. Logic test if you will.
Now.. should I bring up female logic in this? ;)

as said earlier, IQ tests can mean anything. A person can have great skills in chemistry but fail the iq cause it's mostly math and physics.

personally (even though i sucked at advanced math), I'm between 150-165

I dunno I find thoses test kinda easy . I am very good with logic . Does not mean that I'm smarter then other people . I don't beleive in thoses tests

And you cannot tell just by the writing ... look at me, I got a very poor english . It dosen't mean I'm dumb. I just speak another language .

I just took it myself.. apparently I'm becoming dumber by the day (sad side effect of GFY apparently). According to official pen/paper tests I had 146 :(

Lots of idiots here. But i bet they have some large IQs.

Most the people with high IQs are like GFYers, they think too much and post dumb questions becasue they think too much.

Apparently, you haven't taken a REAL IQ test. The "real" IQ tests test your logic thinking capabilities and comprehension processes.

IMO, IQ tests are the only tests available that come to close to conveying your true intelligence. Such tests like the SATs, etc. are tests that can be studied for, and are not true indications of your intelligence.

True, but they can vary like tenths of points due to the test. My point here is that there is no proper way to measure intelligence.

Just took that test, I got a whopping 105... Although my pencil/paper test was a solid 145. My Tickle.com test was in the 150's. It's difficult to compare different IQ tests because of the diversity of deviation calcuations, and of course, the course difficulty.

Granted I took the test in 10 minutes or so, but as someone said previously, common sense is irreplaceable. Many of my closest friends (who are Ivy-leagers), have no common sense whatsoever.

Thats a tough one, I think most GFY'ers wouldnt score very well. Since most successfull webmasters have a different level of thinking compared to the types of people most standardized test where disigned for.

Yeah that test isnt accurate, its so one sided. The IQ test I took when I was a kid involved actually handling blocks and drawing out of mazes without getting a dead end, etc. Looking at fixed things on a computer isnt going to be accurate.

They say now that I.Q. needs to be measured along with E.Q. to determine a persons intelligence. E.Q. is more a measure of how you deal with the real world. They say that given the same I.Q. a person with a higher E.Q. level will actually do much better. Those with a lower I.Q. but high E.Q. can actually do as well or better than those with a higher I.Q.

To put it another way...ever meet someone really smart...but they were always saying stupid things or didn't get something you thought everyone understood? That is someone with a high I.Q., low E.Q.

I usually test in the top 1 percentile. Testing is something I've done well with since I was a small child.

Got a 1380 an the old school (pre-1996) SAT and took the first half of the test stoned out of my gourd.

I'd pretty much guarantee that I'd be up there on the list.

..anyways, I've had my share of chitchat with mature ladies, and their logic is just not in place.

mine score came to 171

i got a 106:( but i dont care too much because i think most of that stuff isnt very meaningful, plus i just kinda got tired of actually thinking about the questions and just guessed on the last 10 so then my friends wanted to take it to see who was smarter, damnit i would have tried harder. One got a 120 the other got a 104. O well i think i could have beat em both:)

Hard to say, but in general I would say that "rich" ppl can't be stupid.

But I don't give much about real IQ-Tests, what should I do with a person, who has a superb spatial sense, but talks al the time boring shit... :2 cents:

I dont think IQ can be measured with a linear unit.

It's like measuring the size of a box so you can figure out what you can fit into it.

You can measure it with a linear unit like cubic centimeters, which would only give you the volume.. But it won't tell you about the shape and dimensions which may be more important..

Same with the human intelligence.. It has countless dimensions, which cannot be measured just by a single number.

Self paper and pen or online IQ tests really don?t show your real IQ. Test has to be administrated by professionals to be accurate. I know in the states if English is your second language they don?t give you the standard test. A lot of the scoring is based on the psychologist interruption of your answers.

IQ tests are for elementary schools to place a student in the right program when the student is not fitting in the norm.

I agree. Online IQ tests are the equivalent of "What Backstreet Boy are you?", "Which Disney Princess are you?", and "How horny are you?". IQ tests esp, are only as good as their reliability and validity, which I'm sure would be really, really, low for any kind of internet test. With the exception of the Mensa freaks, I can't imagine anyone even caring unless it's to place a child/teenager in a special ed program. And even then, it's sketchy.
