Sweet home alabama is the only people know by them it seems. but they had some greats. Freebird, simple man, three steps, saturday night special,...

He-Man 07-31-2004 11:19 AM

Simple man I know from the movie 'Almost Famous", good song. The rest I shall have to (il)legally obtain one way or another...

I'm lookin' for something like rock songs as Canned Heat - On The Road Again. You know; "I'm riding in my classic chevy, and this is the fuckin' soundtrack of my roadtrip!", that type of feeling.

'Not '76 specifically, but that era. Songs you think of while thinking of classic cars.

He-Man 07-31-2004 04:55 PM

Ow, and please give me songtitles. I've neither got the will nor the time to look through and listen to all the songs of all those artists. I'm sorry and thank you.

Sarah_Jayne 07-31-2004 05:06 PM

Radar Love is always good in a car

Dude, be happy that we've given you bands to go on. If you have Kazaa or another p2p like Ares or gnutella or whatever, just type the name of the bands listed into the search area and start downloading anything and everything you can get your hands on. It's not rocket science.

Otherwise, you're going to be buying a fuckton of CDs.

Geesj, sorry. It's just that if you know a particular song that fits in the line-up I gave it would be easier. It doesn't mean I don't appreciate your input, especially yours :thumbsup .

Okay?

Don McLean - American Pie

bufferover 07-31-2004 05:18 PM

Good one. True story: When my husband was hit on his motorcyle (which left him disabled) that was the song that was playing on his radio. He was in a coma for three months and he only came out when a friend played the song on a tape.

Here are some suggestions:

Humble Pie - 30 Days In The Hole
(The whole Humble Pie - Smokin' record!)
Led Zeppelin - Heartbreaker
MC5 - Kick Out The Jams
Mountain - Missisippi Queen
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme Back My Bullets
Neil Young - Cinnamon Girl
Free - Fire And Water
AC/DC - Let There Be Rock (All Bon Scott records!)

Also:

Pink Floyd, The Stooges, Terry Reid, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones (Black and Blue record), The Faces and some early Aerosmith... and a two finger bag of some far out dope.

Sarah_Jayne 08-01-2004 05:53 AM

oh and it is 1979, not '76 but Sniff'n The Tears - Driver's Seat should be on a 70's driving collection.
