Screenshots from MPG?
 

Need to grab some pics from mpeg movies and then make thumbnails from those pics. What is the best program out there to do this and keep quality?

You can do it with "Print Screen" button, but first you will need to disable your hardware acceleration option. I think that's on My Computer properties or in newer windows version it's on Windows Media settins.
