Why didnt you ask your new host to ftp everything directly on your new box?

why not transfer them direct to your new host?

Yes but a good host would transfer your sites for you for free :)

i guess you want to do it your own way, others have different ways, the way it sounds like your doing is taking some time right? "superbot" has a program that you can download your galleries easy, thats if your planning on doing it that way!

if not, like everyone else is sharing, shh to root then open a telnet and from there ftp to your host that you want to pull the content from. Between networks is faster than downloading and uploading..:2 cents:

damn that sucks just as much as having to format c: and saving all the important data on CDs...I just hate it.

not very long at all, only about 2 hours i think.

just a measly 90 megs, ive barely been doing any galleries this year cuzz ive been busy programming.

dude make a tarball of it on your old server, put it into a web accessible dir


then


on your new server, wget URL

and it will download it server to server,

then unzip to the dir you want it in.

itll take all of 5 minutes.
