I need to learn Flash
 

I've had Flash MX for over a year and a half and still havent got into it. My PHP skills are great though :winkwink:

Learn it then.

I will once I make time.. kinda hard to with boards like this.

I hear it dude, flash is fuckin pain. I have tried for years and still can't get the gist of it.

I think we are missing something important that makes it easy.

I just could not get into it - hate the interface.

Also tried to learn it, but the timing was off, so i just put it on the side.

How did you learn it?

trial and error back in the days of tell targetting in version 3

I look at it as timelines inside timelines inside timelines.

learn the basics thoroughly (DO NOT skip directly to the advanced stuff) and the advanced stuff will be relatively easy, especially if you can already code.

then one day you'll learn to hate it for a different reason and no longer go near the pile of shit that it is :1orglaugh

i bought 6 CDs purely CBT (Computer Based Training) of Flash MX but got busy everyday to the point i lost time and interest. sucks

its better to learn if u have some friend
who can help u in studying
or use flashkit.com for tutorials and stuff
or were-here.com board

I don't like the documentation, but it's not too complicated.

nice thing about macromedia, as far as i remember .. is every program has a built in interactive tutorial

I hate flash ... I hate the time line and shit . I hate their way to use vector ...

I was finally able to hire a couple Flash Super-Stars!!! They are worth their wait in gold. They are doing the our Cyber Gym tour right now. I will link you guys when they are done later today.
