Seems like a big fucking scam if you ask me.

17" G4 Powerbooks for $100? Idiots. :helpme

I tried to auction off the sun on Ebay a few years ago.

and only 2 feedbacks from people he has bought from and no feedback from who he has sold to ..... not a fucking chance

Gheenz 07-30-2004 05:25 PM

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. Bidding on the link to a site where you can get a Powerbook for $100. That's some scamming shit.

Yeah. This guy had three of these auctions set up with lots of bidders on each one.

Common sense has left the building.

Steen2 07-30-2004 06:03 PM

The site works in where you pay $100 for valuable ebook resources etc and get added to a list.

After x signups at $100 each, the top person on the list gets their G4, then #2 on the list gets one after x signups.

People that bid on this have got be pretty retarded... Like they say, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"...

If such a site actually existed, the seller could just pick up 10 of these laptops and then resell them for a $1000 each, and make quick $9k profit...

thumbsUP 07-30-2004 06:39 PM

look up alienware computers on ebay. Every other fucking auction is for some bull shit like that. I mean if bad ass computers of any brand where that easy to come across wouldnt eveyone have one??

cayne 07-30-2004 06:53 PM

Perhaps they felt of a truck or st like that :)

warlock5 07-30-2004 07:26 PM

Theres the same thing going on with ipods and other electronics. It works like this: You win the auction, then you find out you have to sell 10 (or more) items in order to get yours. These people will have to do the same to get theirs. Sure its a pyramid scheme, but then so is the stock market :1orglaugh

BlueDesignStudios 07-30-2004 07:43 PM

looks like excellent value for me.. I'll bid :2 cents:

Living For Today 07-30-2004 11:32 PM

I've sold information for plasma screens at certain prices on ebay. Worked a treat and made some happy customers. This however doesnt seem to look so promising :)

Why would you pay shipping on a URL to a site?

Come on, the people were dumb enough to bid on the URL in the first place. You really think they wouldn't pay shipping?!

Bandwidth. It adds up, especially if he's on National Net.

SmokeyTheBear 07-31-2004 02:53 AM

Its a pyramid scam rolled into a ripoff :)

if i get 25 people to send me 100 bucks i have enough for 1 computer and 500$ left over for me, then everytime 25 people send 100 i can buy the next person on the list a new computer. Yup works great
