      go into your control panel, then to sound properties

      it is in there somewhere

              Press start.... Then Controll panel... Then Sound and audio devices and under the volume tab there is a little box you have to check called place volume icon in taskbar. hope this helps you out...

                  Hmmm.. this is actually for a computer with Windows 98 so I think it's different.
