So I joined a boxing training gym the other day...

I've lifted every week for 3 1/2 years now and I want to actually train for "something" now instead of having a nice physique. So I've always been interested in boxing, I just turned 21 so I'm a bit old opposed to most other "boxing champs" but I figured it'd be an interesting experience to say the least.

Damn the training was difficult, which is to be expected...

4 rounds of jump rope, over 200 reps of 3 diff ab exercises, 4 rounds of intense footwork, 6 rounds over 6 different stationary machines, 4 rounds of punching bag, and then finished off with 2 rounds of jump rope.

talk about being exhausted. I think I'll stick with it though, for at least the month that I paid for. the trainer said if i stick with it i'll easily lose 15 lbs, which kind of sucks cause I worked hard to gain the mass that I did, but I think most of it will be the little fat that I have.

anyone have any boxing experience here?

I was trained by one of the best trainers in Australia when I was younger before I switched to Martial Arts.

Tournament Tae Kwon Do training is similar - strips all that extra shit off your body and leaves you hard and lean. Don't fight it, in a year or two you'll look back at yourself now and think you were a fat ass.

              Stick with it...

You'll like the results after a few months

All the ab exercises are so you can take punches. You'll probably end up with a 6 pack in no time.
