I've voted Republican (for presidential elections) all my life.

This year I'm switching. Kerry looks good to me. Bush just.. well.. I don't really have the words.

xclusive 07-30-2004 07:34 AM

Well first of all things would be different in that we would be able to get the canadian medicine but then again liberman as vice president wouldn't have been good for our industry. I am thinking Kerry/Edwards will actually make it a good thing to be an american in the eyes of the world...

Honestly you feel Bush has done a "good" job? Overall i mean

NickPapageorgio 07-30-2004 08:08 AM

He squandered the biggest opportunity for world alliance that has ever been presented to anyone. Almost every country was behind the US after 9/11 and he wasted it. He took their support and said "FUCK YOU I AM DOING WHAT MY DADDEH SAYS IT GUD" He made me and you and the rest of this country look like fucking assholes. Being a republican is one thing. Being a fucking moron is something totally different. Being a republican who is a fucking moron is something people should go to hell for.

I don't think people dislike him because he isn't a good reader or speaker.

Something I actually agree with 12clicks on. :(

crockett 07-30-2004 08:16 AM

You have to look at the fact that last night Kerry clearly stated he wants to cut the taxes for the middle class and raise them (or cut the tax cuts) for people making over 200k a year. Practically the first thing out of Bush's mouth is "they want to raise your taxes"..

I mean get real, the fucker has one audience and that's big business. I believe it's true as John Edwards said in his speech, Republicans need a divided America. Nothing in Bush's speech made me feel like he wanted to bring this country together, it was nothing but mud slinging against Kerry.

The other thing I had to laugh about, is he claims he support marriage and the family, yet he passes a law banning same sex marriage. Ok while the whole gay thing isn't my deal, the fact is they are people. We live in American a land of equal opportunity not opportunity for the chosen few. The Republicans seem to think they can just push the issue in the closet and pretend gay people don't exist.. fuck why can't they just get over it and accept the fact that they are people to.

I can't stand that kind of discrimation, gay people are the blacks of the 50s or the women of the 70s.

One of the reasons drugs (the legal kind) are more expensive in the US is that doctors here are given a kick back on each prescription they write. That?s one of the reasons for prescribing a name brand. They make more.

Another may have to do with the exchange rate and other regulations. In any case, we don?t have the full story.

Gee... the Space Shuttle blowing up wouldn't have put a damper on the whole NASA thing... now would it?

NickPapageorgio 07-30-2004 08:25 AM

If he really gives 2 shits about the safety and security of this nation, then why isn't he all over the 9/11 commission recommendations? I will answer that. Because he is too fucking busy running his mouth about his next term. If he really cared about safety and security he wouldn't be out campaigning, he would be putting pressure on congress to get this shit enacted. But, sadly, he isn't.

Not all in America have it that good. Both Canada and US systems have their problems. Can?t claim to know everything about it. Veterans in America in the VA system have to wait too ? I have seen first hand, very sad. Canadians are prolly getting better car than our own vets! If you don?t have medical insurance, it gets ugly too. You just don?t get the care you need, not even after a long wait.

Some say, that hospitals have to give away free care to the poor, which is very limited care!

Insurance companies also decide what tests you get and what procedures are given. I agree it would be worse if the government decided. Money talks! So if you have it, life is better as is the mediacal care.

dude that had nothing to do with it. he wasn't even working on any of the shit he promissed before that happened. The Space shuttle burnt up last year, Bush has been in office almost 4 years. He had two years to do anything, but nothing was done.

Now I will agree 9-11 got us side tracked, but can't be used as a excuse to not do nothing he promissed to the space program.
