Opinions about registerfly.com

Heard some bad things about Godaddy.com and I am thinking to drop their services and move to a different registrar.

Registerfly looks good to me but I want more opinions.

THanks in advance.

Go with namecheap.com Their interface are very good.

fusionx 07-30-2004 05:18 AM

I use registerfly. They're pretty good - nice interface, decent tools, etc. Watch for special deals to get .com domains at 7.99, etc..

However, the website is incredibly slow at times. More like registercrawl.

I dig it. I'm not a huge buyer of domains, but for my purposes it's nice. And like FusionX said, their special deals (which aren't that infrequent) are pretty nice as well.

I have a few there and I have never had a problem, So go for it you wont be disapointed.

TheMob 07-30-2004 07:11 AM

I have names with both namecheap and godaddy and have never had a problem with any.

Namecheap isn't a real registrar, they resell for eNom.. so be careful.

Fabuleux 07-30-2004 07:19 AM

I've use Godadday and Directnic, but now I only use Registerfly. The website is a bit slow, but maybe that has something to do with the fact they have 350.000 customers...

Viper2K1 07-30-2004 07:28 AM

Been using registerfly for a long time already, i'm liking it

like fusionx said, sometimes the site is very slow
other than that, no complaints

I had a very difficult time transfering domains away from registerfly. It took many emails and nearly 2 weeks of conversing back and forth with techsupport to get them to "unlock" my domains.

If you dont want to use godaddy, try Directnic.com.

Only problem I have with them is that I tend to buy my domains hours before they bring out special deals -_-' :1orglaugh

yepp. had some probs with them, too. the basics are ok. but if there is some work to be done they suck big times. and if you use them don't rely on their dns!!! :2 cents:

would prefer godaddy or directnic. they always made a good job for me

had nightmare issues with godaddy - we use registerfly now they are great :thumbsup

Makingcoin 07-30-2004 09:24 AM

Registerfly works for me. Like others have said, it can be very slow at times.

Slinx 07-30-2004 09:29 AM

Great service, slow website, good promotions 2-3 times per month.

Go with them :2 cents:

As soon as one deal ends, another starts. I've never paid more than 7.99 for domains and 6.00 for transfers.

Are you checking http://theflypaper.com for the latest codes? Even if it says 24 or 48 hrs and it's past that time, go ahead and put the code in on your main account page. It always takes it and reflects the new pricing.

Registerfly was horrible for me.

Try their support chat, it's quite bad. And as someone comented above, NameCheap does resell for eNom, however so does RegisterFly.

People like GoDaddy, DirectNIC, Moniker, eNom are all registrars themselves, no reselling.

pradaboy 07-30-2004 10:11 AM

registerfly has worked out perfectly for me... I have 20+ domains there.
