what did you foreigners think of kerry's speech

As an American, I thought Kerry's speech was great, but they showed how this speech was being broadcasted around the world. As a Non-US citizen, do you favor Kerry instead of Bush. He mentions ideas like keeping jobs in America, the war in Iraq, and respect abroad. Lots of different issues.. as a non-American, what do you think.

BlueDesignStudios 07-30-2004 01:06 AM

Kerry seems like a good guy, I think he would be a great president.. even though he's not as smart or charasmatic as Clinton, he's got a brain, which is far better than the current situation..:2 cents:

Love Brokers 07-30-2004 01:10 AM

Most respondents will probably tell you to go fuck yourself just as the French and Arabs always do. I'd like to see the next Pres bring ALL troops home, and I mean ALL OF THEM. They can do their cold weather training in Alaska,, desert train in Nevada and Arizona, tropics in Hawaii. Protect our own borders. We can continue to do "business" with other countrys, but they have to "police" their own land and our so called "leaders" should stop this insanity of pushing our values on other governments!

There ya go!! Didn't take long, did it? They hate our fucking guts!

Mojiteaux 07-30-2004 03:38 AM

Kerry is a fresh change to Bush. At last someone intelligent is running for president.

mo-i 07-30-2004 04:43 AM

Here in Germany Kerry`s speech was very well received by the public media (and by myself (;)).
It was for the first time that the terms "good rhetorics" and "Kerry" were to be seen together...

I found his speech inspiring and uplifting.

What I liked most was how he linked his aspirations with Kennedy and Roosevelt.

Would love to see the the global village developing within that mindset.

Perhaps we could even have something like a "new deal" behind the horizon.

I`m dreaming, I know....

Shit like this is the reason some europeans hate America.

Most of the Europeans are against Bush, but I haven't met many that are pro Kerry. But he does seem like a good guy, maybe to much of a good guy.

Corleone 07-30-2004 04:54 AM

great speech... its important for the whole world that bush gets kicked out of the office...

What a fucking ingnorant statement. The US president is the most powerful man in the world and right now is the only one who can truely bring peace back into play. It ain't gonna happen with Bush in there. Why don't you step away from the blonde with a gaping ass on your computer screen for 10 minutes and watch the fucking news once in a while.

Fuck Bush, you guys need Kerry in there.

And what the fuck is with the 2 term rule? You guys gotta change that shit so you can keep good presidents when you get a guy like Clinton in office. Of course it can backfire as it did when Cretian stayed in office for 10 years too long.

StarkReality 07-30-2004 05:09 AM

It was definately the best speech from him so far in my opinion, we all know he isn't the most charismatic guy, but he did very well this time :2 cents:

Did he even write the speech? Just wondering, because usually they hire speech writers, yet you guys seem very focused on how it was written, as if it was his own work. I could be wrong though.

McKracken 07-30-2004 05:19 AM

the speech was aokay :glugglug

I would vote him, but his good guy image bothers me... I mean I hope he is all that and that its not just an image build up...

You idiots are all like FOX News. Say something you don't like and it is anti-American - except in your circumstance if someone says soemthing you don't like it is pro-Brush. Get a clue, Bush is an idiot, and you are aswell.

And for the record, I would piss on any CD by an artist who doesn't write their own shit. If I wanted to listen to the song, because it was good, I would download it (yes steal it) rather than buy from some artist whore that has no real talent.

If someone can not even write what they say so convincingly, than they don't deserve any praise for what was said. Understand that? Didn't think so...

mo-i 07-30-2004 06:14 AM

IŽam speechless.

P.S.: could someone please explain why I am speEachless If I can`t speAk ???

I donŽt want to stay a potatoe with that

Lizzie 07-30-2004 06:16 AM

I'm from CA and I was cheering for Kerry all the way. I watched the DNC everyday. This election is the most important one in years, not only for the USA but also the world.
I was on pins and needles just waiting for Kerry's speech and he got me and the rest of his audience with his first sentence.
The man has definitely got it. He nailed it big time.
If I were American I would be voting for Kerry.

Paul Waters 07-30-2004 07:26 AM

Keery's speech was outstanding!

:thumbsup

I thought the "reporting for duty" was a hell of a start. And so many great lines.

The bit about, not asserting that god is on our side, but rather making sure we are on god's side, was brillant, in dealing with the binary fundies.

As for foreign support. I think the only foreigners who support Bush are Bin Laden and the terrorists. Maybe a dictator here and there.

The world is pretty much anti-Bush.

Free trade advocates have mild concerns about Kerry, but we think he will address foreign transfers of jobs, long before limiting free trade with Canada and Mexico.

Good luck JFK!

chodadog 07-30-2004 08:07 AM

I prefer him over Bush, but to be honest, i didn't think much of his speech. The content of it was good, but he doesn't strike me as a natural speaker. Comes across as being very uncomfortable. Bill Clinton and George Bush are both great public speakers. That's where Kerry is lacking, in my opinion.

But yeah, i think he'd be better than Bush.

i disagree, i thought he did a great job delivering that speech. Bush talks so slow, and you really get the feeling that this guy has no idea what hes talking about. Clinton is a fantastic speaker, I agree with you there. Maybe its jsut cause I'm a democrat :)

=^..^= 07-30-2004 09:20 AM

still havent heard it but he cant do any worse for public speaking than bush

my favourite Bush line is "she's a west Texas girl - just like me!" :1orglaugh

Written by slave owners. Shut the fuckl up you moron. The people who wrote the constition were hero's and your bullshit typing could never match their deeds. So what if they owned slaves, they are still 100X greater than you could ever hope to be. Keep wasting your life away as you seek 40k posts, but remember your still a loser. You could only dream of achieveing what these people achieved you fucking drop kick, and I am sure if they could see you know they would give you a royal kick to the head.

Does that mean you agree that the U.S. ;should get the hell out of all foreign countries? Which is exactly my point. The U.S. is not and SHOULD NOT be the policeman of the friggin planet. And I agree with your statement that most Europeans hate us.
