any vampire movie fans?
 

im a huge fan of movies like Blade and Underworld

can you recommend some others? I scan shelves for hours looking for some but cant really find much.

not really into the old stuff, just high quality movies.

i saw a preview for a new one thats coming out, forgot the name though.

read the books by anne rice. my girlfriend has read them all and she loves them.

Those are good books... very entertaining. Personal favorite was Memnoch the Devil.

I like the original dracula movie, but that's about it. most vampire movies suck. especially blade, god damn that shit is boring.

as a vampire comedy - Love at First Bite is pretty damn hilarious

ive been dreaming of them making a 3rd, but to be honest it looks fucking stupid

im a big fan of first 2 though ...

the first blade was a real blade with revolutionary new soundtracks (which are good in film only) etc, but the 2 is less impressive. don't know what they are going to put in that 3d one. the trailer looks alittle childish yet

I am not a big fan of the vampire films but i liked from dusk till dawn and i also liked blade

Believe it or not, I actually taught a college course on vampire mytholgy as a grad student at UT. My all time favorite vampire flick is 'Fearless vampire Killers', by Roman Polanski. Sexy, funny, and scary. The exact right mix of all three elements. A total classic, IMHO. The only drawback is seeing the beautiful Sharon Tate in the movie and thinking how it would be the last film she made before the Manson family brutally murdered her (and her unborn child). :(
