GOD is a sleazy criminal and should be put to death...

Let's assume God is real, omnipotent and all-knowing.

If so, (S)He is an accessory to:
1. The Holocaust
2. The Oklahoma City bombings
3. 9/11
4. Every other crime ever commited, no matter how horrible...

(S)He would be an accessory for two reasons:
(1)Having foreknowledge of each crime and failing to report them to the proper authorities; and
(2) Having the ability to prevent said crimes without any risk whatsoever to him/herself, and failing to do so.

Also guilty of pet (human) abandonment and gross negligence...
If I knew the sucker's address, I'd file charges.

It was someones CHOICE to do those things. Are you the same kind of person that prays for censorship? It's life, it's free for the lucky ones of us, people die, shit happens.

I have my own beliefs, but this is just plain out a stupid thread, but it's your CHOICE to start it.

I suppose some people could be offended. I don't intend to ridicule anyone's beliefs... I'm expressing my anger at the dogma that was forced down my throat at an early age. I choose not to believe in a God as arbitrary and vicious as the one I was taught abaout as a child.

My first son died (SIDS) when he was two months old. No reason, no warning, no understanding. I had this wonderful little guy to love and take care of; he was the greatest thing in my life. Then one morning I had a stiff, discolored corpse in the crib where I had put my baby down to sleep.

Dagwolf , your pain and anger are completely understandable, but the fact that bad things happen in this world does not mean that God has ordained them. God does not look at physical death the same way that we do. He is outside the universe. We are confined within it. When someone dies in this world, they are lost to us. We can no longer see and touch them. Unfortunately, people die in this world and many die at a very young age. We consider such events tragic, but we only see them from one perspective. We look at death as an end because we can't see beyond it. From God's perspective, death is simply birth into a new life, one in his presence and under his care. That is where your child is tonight, Dagwolf, in the arms of God.
