People that work from home... I have a question for you.

How do you stay awake between Noon and 2 pm?

I can't seem to stay awake during those hours. Do you have any tips?

If you're tired take a nap.
That's one of the best things about working from home...

If you can't do that then loud music would help.

I don't.
I work nights, so I rarely see a Noon... or a 2PM for that matter.

Lucy 07-29-2004 11:22 AM

put on loud music and take a cup of coffee:thumbsup

I have been awake between noon and 2 pm many days.
you're not missing anything.

TheLegacy 07-29-2004 11:27 AM

basically when I realize that I could be making money between those hours that usually keeps me awake.

PrivateIvy 07-29-2004 11:27 AM

Gawd, I stay glued to this machine all day and sometimes most of my night...I have to MAKE myself turn it off and go to sleep LOL

If I ever got sleepy while working, I'd assume by some miracle I was caught up and deserved a nap !!

:thumbsup

Taking a 'power nap' is very good for your productivity. Why not just do it?

Take the nap. It definitely helps. You will actually be more focused, and get more done.

Are you eating regularly? Since your schedule is more flexible than most, try eating six small meals instead of three big ones...it will keep your blood sugar from raising and crashing. I find that I forget to eat sometimes, and that's what causes my sleepy time, always in the afternoons, but if I make sure to eat good, nutricious meals, just smaller portions, every two-three hours, it helps a ton.

loverboy 07-29-2004 12:20 PM

im not really a coffee lover, but why not get a descent sleep of 8-10 hrs before your day starts. works well with me.

tony286 07-29-2004 12:22 PM

paste copies of bills on the wall so you can look up at them. Mighty motivating lol

Evil1 07-29-2004 12:30 PM

May sound stupid but move your computer near a window you can look out of, then you dont feel like you're trapped in a cave.

Goatse 07-29-2004 10:29 PM

Sleep whenever you feel like it. Gee, why make it so complicated?

Ironhorse 07-29-2004 10:33 PM

I had that problem for a while, but lately I don't even need to nap anymore, in fact I work out right around that time..very odd..

ChrisExtreme 07-29-2004 10:38 PM

Just do what I do, sleep until noon everyday and you won't have this problem.

beemk 07-29-2004 10:39 PM

nope, im still sleeping at 2 usually.

theFeTiShLaDy 07-29-2004 10:41 PM

well, i'm too busy to feel sleepy...but whenever i feel like that..i go out and look at a distance to relieve the tiredness.:thumbsup

WEBhottie 07-29-2004 10:46 PM

well, if i really feel sleepy, i will turn on the cd player with headset
and then i'll sing together with the music. So after a couple of minutes, i feel energetic again,ok.:) :thumbsup

Kevin2 07-29-2004 10:47 PM

caffeine and nicotine keep me going :thumbsup
