ICQ down for anyone?
 

I can't check my messages. My little N/A icon pops up but my list doesn't load and my messages from overnight aren't being displayed.

My ICQ is working fine here... you should try logging on and off. I got that problem sometimes.

When was the last time you shut it down and restarted it?

I shut my down at 5am, and started it up just now and empty list.

it says I am online but no buddies online which is impossible because my list is huge. :helpme

Other people are posting theirs is having trouble. Mine's OK but now that I've said that, it will crash :thumbsup

I tried to test mine to see if it worked opr not
it SAID i was online and as soon as I went to send a message it went offline..

strange thing is - 10 seconds later I asked FH to send me an ICQ and it came thru
we are on the same adsl line so wtf???????

for those who's ICQ is working, do NOT restart, i would bet dollars to donuts that it is only happening to those us who have restarted ICQ.

And if anyone out there's icq DOES work add me and send a test msg to

BTW did any of you guys upgrade your ICQ version lately?

The upgrade seems to be the problem, I have 2 pc's one with the old version still ( I dont plan on upgrading) and the other has the "new" version. The new version is giving me the problems. :2 cents:

nope, not till i started it up and it was empty, i then uninstalled it, and reinstalled the latest version, no everytime I did that b4 my list comes right back up, but not today.

Yours is fine cause you have not shut it down i would think.

I will try and uninstall the upgrade i just installed and grab the copy of icq98b from cd and see what that does.

sly, it looks like a server issue, change servers bud. Go into your connection properties in ICQ and search out a new server

It has been shitty for a couple of months here. No major probs today though.

I don't have any problems with ICQ.

All my contacts are offline (over 150) so I guess ICQ is down.... :(

icq has been shit for me all week.

this is funny, I am talking to sly now on ICQ but he is shown as offline. I got him to switch servers.. same thing.

People who are not having the probs have not disconnected from the server. once you disconnect and reconnect you will see what we see Nothing.
