It took me about the same (just got my first sale a few days ago, and my second yesterday).
I've only built a handful of AVS sites. I haven't gotten into galleries b/c I don't have anything to invest in hosting right now, and I don't want to take advantage of the hosting I have from a barter with someone.Need Hosting? Reality Check Network services me purrrfectly!Comment

About ~3 weeks, I used Nastydollars gallery generator to make galleries and I posted them to ~9 big TGPs.
Probably 1 of them accepted the galleries

It was years ago, but min ecame within the first week. I remember cause it came on a streak of 6 sales in a row.
That made me build more and it took 3 weeks to get another sale
