Of course you are. Drugs make people feel good.

You are high on Jesus... and I'm happy for you.

Just don't start forcing your drugs on others.

Dirty F 07-29-2004 01:57 AM

What if you wouldve been born on an island and were left behind for the rest of your life. Nobody wouldve polluted your mind with the bible. Nobody wouldve told you about this imaginary dude called Jesus.

What then? Nothing, because there will be nobody to brainwash you. You would find your own truth which has nothing to do with Jesus. Your current truth is one which is forced upon you and you dont even realize it.

I feel sorry for you.

Never done that! never will! Talk about it all you want. I'll go toe to toe with you on evolution and the big bang. He's real and he's among us.

Dude, you are soooooo wrong! There is clear and independent evidence that a man named Jesus walked the earth at that time period. The question is whether or not you believe what he said about himself. Is Jesus who he says he was or not? You are free to believe that he's the son of god or not the son of god. I personally believe that he is.

pxxx 07-29-2004 02:21 AM

Both exist, but one is wayyy more powerful than the other. I believe in God and i say it with no fear. :thumbsup

This is where many religions clash. There is no right or wrong religion. God is God in all religions, just with a different name and a diffferent story twist to it. Every religion believes in a higher power. This is why there are so many riots in a country like Nigeria, where i come from. The Muslims say that their religion is right and the Christians, say that their's is right.

To even seriously argue with a religionist is to lend credibility that should not be granted. To honor their insanity, by treating them like some sort of intellectual equal, is more than they deserve. You may as well debate the local homeless schizophrenic. Religion is a mental disorder and religionists should be looked down upon as the retards they are.

Ok i respect that.
Then i also assume you say that someone who doesnt believe in God will not see heaven, right?

God reveals himself in different ways to different people. If someone has never been exposed to Jesus, he cannot be held accountable for not following Jesus.

That is not my call to make, because I am not supposed to judge and many Christians fail in this part. They stand there and tell non believers that they will go to hell, when the Bible said that we shouldn't judge others. I am not here to CHANGE non believers, like i said a couple of weeks ago, there is no way you can change someone's belief.

Battus: If i sat here and told you that you would not see Heaven because you do not believe, I will be hypocrite, because it is not my DUTY to tell you if you will see Heaven or not, nor is it my duty to telll you what to believe in or not.

Deep thought. Id watch out for the mormans if I were you.

That is a very valid point. I was hand fed one religion when I grew up. I never took to it. But it is forced fed into you as a child.

I only write how i feel on this topic, and just like i want non believers to respect my belief, It is only right if i respect their's. Many people do not catch onto this early, but YOU HAVE TO GIVE RESPECT TO GET RESPECT.

Battus: Thanks for respecting what i wrote and believe in. That was very mature of you and i appreciate it.:thumbsup

Just a bunch of crap!

WarChild 07-29-2004 02:46 AM

So let me get this straight ... There's an omnipotent being out there .. All knowing, all seeing ...

First he/she/it creates a race of perfect beings; Angels. They are beautiful, a truley perfect creation .. Except they lack free will. They can not choose to love god, they simply do.

So god, being a selfish bastard, decides this isn't good enough. Instead he'll create a world and populate it with creatures that may choose; Man.

Here's the really tricky part ... Being all knowing, god must already know what mankind will do .. How it will turn out, so to speak. Regardless of if we're free to make our own choices, he must already know what the results are...

What a selfish, sick and twisted fucking bastard. And you expect to win me over with arguments of love and all that nonsense? No benevolent god could in good faith create this hell hole of a world.

No there isn't.

And don't give me those tired old Plinius and Josephus quotes.

There is no authentic contemporaneous secular reference to Jesus.

brickbat 07-29-2004 02:50 AM

I believe that all people will be judged according to how they lived their lives. What happens to these people, I cannot say. I do believe that if there is punnishment, it will be just.

Why are you so sure about Jesus? because its written.
Then why arent you so sure about heaven and hell? Its the same people who wrote about Jesus who also said theres a heaven and hell.

What makes you sure about 1 thing and unsure about the other, especially since its coming from the same source?

Goose 07-29-2004 03:04 AM

Funny how people who believe in God always know what he did and what not.

If tomorrow your wife would have your baby you would say its a gift from God right? But if a day later some guy stabs your baby to death, what would that be? Also a gift from God?

How exactly do you decide what is Gods work and what not?

I'm not unsure about heaven and hell. I believe they exist too. But I have never been to either place so there isn't much I can say about them. I only know that God will be just and fair with everyone.

You can't understand because you have no concept of what it will be like in the afterlife. I can't conceptualize it either. From God's perspective, the baby does not die, but instead comes into his loving arms. From our perspective, it is a horrible loss. We don't see things with the eyes of God.

Why does it have to be cruel? You have a flock of pigeons. You release them and wait for them to come back to you.
