Yahoo optimization
I read that for yahoo, unlike google, content is more importand then back links.
But links are important too, right? and also, what is the recommended keyword density for yahoo. are there any good analyzing tools, which can tell if your page is optimized well for YAHOO? |
I know they use the keyword and description metatags, and also look at the text on your page.
I've been trying to figure out why they won't list my tgp at all. http://www.ultra-pornstars.com Search Ultra-Pornstars.com |
this one works pretty well....of course notepad will give you some text statistics as well

I've asked a few times about this same subject.. no one ever seem to answer when it's seo question about yahoo.
I don't think content means a damn thing with yahoo.. The top pages in the keywords I'm after are total crap and spam sites. what I have noticed is all the top sites listed on the keywords I once had number 1 spots on. They all have warning pages and that's what is indexed. That is the only thing I can think off as a reason my site isn't listed where it was once number 1. This is kind of hard for me as I'm trying to move my pages behind warning pages, but if I do it I lose SE traffic from other SE engines. |

I love yahoo right now... they got me listed #3 as Live Cams.
Anyway Im interested in finding some tools for Yahoo too... |

What has worked for me on Y! has been Title tag, h1 and a shit load of text on the pages. also the actual file extensions and keywords in the url.
The only thing with yahoo is one day Y! loves me and the next day im nothing. I havent figured out how to maintain my positions on a daily basis. The site is almost 3 months old and probably has 8 back links. |
