anyone ever order something from TimeLife infomercial?

I saw an infomercial the other night for an ultimate classic rock cd set offered by Time Life called "Legends of rock"

I LOVE classic rock and this set had all the songs I would listen to. I mean EVERY song was awesome. But... It's like over 100 bucks. Not that the money matters. I spend more than that on the weekends on DVD's, but it's the idea of giving time life my info and then being on their fuckin' lists, and I dunno I just feel weird about ordering something that I saw on TV.

Has anyone ever ordered something like this?

I guess another thing that scares me is that EVERY yardsale I go to (I go to find hidden treasures, but never do) all I ever see at yardsales are those fuckin' "Time Life books" that were based on the UFO's and unsolved mysteries and shit.

I ordered the Beavis & Butthead collection, last year. I vaguely remember someone from TimeLife calling me afterward - I'm not sure if it was to confirm delivery/satisfaction or if they were (also?) trying to sell me something. But I never heard from them again after that.

I bought the Songwriters collection for both my father and myself.

          Good stuff.

I just go to the "as seen on tv" store in the mall and get it there.

If they dont' have something you're looking for, you can request that they get it in, and they'll put you on a call list for when it does come in.

I bought this collection about 3 months ago and it kicks ass!!

Word of advice though.. be careful especially if you get a non native english speaking rep because they try to add on all kids of "freebies" that will cost you out the ass.

Well worth the money though or you can order from their (Time Life) website if you feel awkward about calling in for it.
