Yes you are, in "Online Clubs and Galleries", but "Directories" would be the right category for thehun.net, and you would get more traffic there, since that category comes up more often, plus you are hidden in the alphabar in your current cat.

Is that a mistake, did you want to be listed in "Clubs..Galleries" ? All the PK, Tommy, GreenGuy etc. are in "Directories".

His site actually belongs into the other categroy and since he will appear at the top of that cat very soon then (coz he get many clicks from within that category) he would end up with about additional 500-1,000 fresh yahoo visitors per day, every day. And Yahoo traffic is GOLD.

But I wasn't going to "help the Hun out", I was curious and would like to hear some stories about Yahoo from the Hun such as "they wanted the site to be there because they considered it to be a club rather than a directory". (Similar happened to me with a site). That is interesting for me and others too perhaps. It's always good to know what Yahoo is doing. You should care too.

And I don't mean that the Hun will go south without the traffic from Yahoo, but I looked again and he is #20 or so when soemone searches for "the hun" or something similar. That has to do with the wrong cat as well. So alltogether he could probably get quite a bit of traffic from there, a few thousand a day I'd say. And excellent quality traffic. I'll come up with a calcualtion shortly hehe...

As for beeing bigger than Yahoo. Goto got about 20 Mio. searches in March 2001, counting only the top 100 search phrases including either "sex", "xxx" or "porn".

That means that Goto get at least 1 Mio. porn related searches per day, most likely about 1.5-2 Million porn searches per day.

According to StatMarket Yahoo sends about 16 times more traffic (53.4% of ALL SE referers in server logs world wide) to web sites than Goto (3.2 %) does. These numbers are 1 year old but the ratio should be still at least 1:10 even if Goto grew much faster than Yahoo in the past year (which I don't believe).

That means about 20-30 Million porn searches per day in Yahoo.

Now take the MUCH better quality of that traffic into account as well, and then compare it to 1.3 Million uniques per day to the Hun. Yeah the Hun traffic IS good as well but if you think that it is comparable to fresh SE traffic not to mention the newbie machine Yahoo than you simply have no clue.
