Online Sport Betting - your advice needed

Hey guys.

I'm kinda newbie in the online sport betting scene.

I've started with internet1x2.com, so far so good, i havn't placed high amounts yet, because i'm still testing my betting abilities, but so far i'm happy with the results.

My questions are :

1. Could i trust those companies ? i remmber that i read some post of lensman a few months ago about some online betting company that havn't payed him, which company was it and what was the story ?

2. If i'm keep winning and winning, any change that those companies would close my account ?

3. What the best companies, i know internet1x2.com and victorchandler.com so far, what do you think about those companies ?

4. Any other advices ? links to related forums and etc... ?

Thanks.

There are lots of bad ones, especially if you play with some higher stakes. Playit (since it's on the list in this thread) is one of them. They are owned by the more famous betandwin that is known for killing limits with even a win or two. Stay away! I'd stay away from smaller bookies as a general rule.

My advice would also be to look for bookmakers that are regulated by someone. If there are some disputes you need to be able to complain to someone. For instance, Centrebet is monitored by the Northern Territory Gaming Commision and will help you if there are any problems.

Go to http://www.bettingadvice.com/showBookmakers.php .. real reviews made by hounest guys..

the q's:
1. internet1x2.com will work fine for you. Stick with bookies like that and you won't have problems. In my opinion, most of the guys that has problems betting online is from the us and is betting with some shitty small two-man company offshore.

2. they won't close you down, but they will kill your limits for sure. Depend if you're a high roller or not though. $10-1000 stakes are generally no problem, but $10000+ can be. Some companies like pinnacle actually posts their limits.

3. I have my money at Centrebet and Pinnacle. High limits and high odds for those markets I'm in. Plenty of other good ones but depends on what you need. Those two isn't any good for special bets punters for instance.

4. tons of good boards around, but what sports do you like to bet on?

... ps, if you don't want to deal with limits etc, go to www.betfair.com (it's not a bookie but a betting exchange) and open an account. You can bet or lay any team and they only earn money by taking %'s of the winner.

Theo 07-28-2004 02:45 AM

my advice is stay away from it cause at the end sport betting will get you broke.

Jensen 07-28-2004 02:58 AM

yep.. 97-98% are not winners.. so know what you are doing and decide before you start whether this is for fun or for biz..

B40 07-28-2004 06:48 AM

If you can handicap over 56% on the pointspread you'll make money.

Make sure you have good money management.

Get in on the poker dude, sooo much more fun and good money making opportunities :glugglug

Thegreek.com has the best stats and the way you bet is *way* better then tons of other ones i tested. I did not like sportsbook.com for its design and bet types.

Thegreek.com is also good for the amount of prop plays and other sports besides the mainstream ones they offer.

Been using them for years for betting on UK horseracing. Never had any problems with them, they pay out promptly and they've never restricted my bets (largest bet was £5000) despite the fact that I make a profit from gambling. You may have problems opening an account with them if you're in the US, as they don't take US issued credit cards (well, they didn't take mine). Other deposit options are available though.

If you're mainly interested in UK horseracing, by far the best site to place bets is on Betfair.com - as has already been mentioned, it's a betting exchange NOT a bookmaker, so your account will never be closed if you are successful. You'll also find that the prices you get are regualrly 10 - 20% higher than you would get at a regular bookmaker. Again, you might have problems using US issued credit cards, but other deposit options are available.

how is www.wsex.com i heard they are the best?

Volantt 07-29-2004 12:37 AM

When you fund the account, select Canadian currency. That way it looks like you are betting a lot of money.

*Just having fun with my neighbors to the North.*

gamebookers.com

Very reliable, but their lines aren't the best.

The problem with thegreek.com is the juice. If you make ML, spread or total bets, Pinnacle has 5-8 cent lines on most events. thegreek.com has 10-15 cent lines. It makes a huge difference at the end of the season. Of course, if your thing is props and futures, thegreek is king.
