Have you guys noticed how "healthy" this site is compared to the other two main BBS boards?? When I say healty I mean the threads here are longer, and have active particpation on them.. People actually seem to enjoy coming here, to bullshit, to be entertained, and to learn. This is almost like the Bar in the Show Cheers, in that Everybondy knows your name.. We are a tight family here.

Look at the other boards and the threads are short, people dont reply as much to a single thread, and the topics are dry..There is also that lack of true comunity that you see here.

On the other board the only threads that get somewhat long and numerous responses are the threads about dialers, and those are spamed by broker after broker, or an argument about something that gets real nasty..

GFY is the place to be, its fresh, its new, and we have a totally differnt attitude.. Its all about attitude..

Bone, your right on the mark... I've just about stopped going to other boards, (well I still go read whats happening) but I don't really like to participate anymore. Every thread usually becomes a pissing match of sorts. This place is fun, and Is also full of some very experienced webmasters and sponsors. So it is not only like a close family it is also a good place to get information and help as well as just fuck around...

Actually I was thinking of starting a 'Go Fuck Yourself-aholics Anonymous' (GFYAA) club for people.

BoardHog is right, this place gives you a sense of community. There is tons of valuable info within this board. Plus there is a lot of goofy shit to help you escape the boring task of submitting.

An average day goes like this:
1) Go to work, and open my boss' website, so he thinks I'm working on it.
2) open my galleries, and start submitting.
3) come here to see what new shit BoardHog has started.
4) submit some more, answer emails, visit GFY.
5) Repeat.
6) repeat again, this time reply to one of BoardHogs threads.
7) submit a little more.
8) bitch to my boss that the 'host', and the server, fucked with the CGI con-struct, and that the FTP servers must be backed up due to the lack of htaccess. But not to worry, because tomorrw, I'll try to override the Perl Script with an OC3 connection, which should allow the Shockwave to rewrite the page as it's requested.
9) watch his eyes glaze over as I try to confuse him with total bullshit.
10) Mission : Glazed Eyes complete. I go back to submitting.
11) Visit GFY
12) shut down and come home, immediately visit GFY
13) submit, and then pass out with finger on mouse scrolling down through one of BoardHogs super long threads.
14) Wake up and repeat...

My first impression of this board a few months ago was that folks here are actually intelligent and chat about interesting things and I sometimes leave here learning something. Can't say that for other boards.

It's now a regular stop in my travels...

It is scary how familiar this is. I am the Network Administrator for a bank. Nobody here understands what I do. They actually think I spend the whole day working on bank stuff...

I am trying to get the business up to $300 per day and just do it full time. I am about half-way there...

GFY is my #1 source of information. I COULD NOT be where I am without you guys (and girls).
