Yeah, I know, not a very good place to buy computer parts. Especially when the video card is new.

What game(s) are you getting it for, or just generally?

B40 07-27-2004 02:02 PM

I'm a repeat customer at www.ncix.com

Jace 07-27-2004 02:03 PM

have you checked all the shops on www.priceline.com

why does it have to be canada?

My 9700 pro is getting old

And I want to use my AMD 64 CPU with a nice card like the X800

If it's shipped from the US, customs will take the price over the retail price.

If it's from another province, I don't have to pay for provincial taxes.

If it's outside the country, I'm going to get custom charges..

Nice, i got a 3.2ghz Athlon XP, 1gig of ram and x800 pro for HL2/ CS : Source.

I didnt see the advantage of 64bit yet seeing as its just out and nothing will really utilise it fully for at least a year.

Don't waste your money just yet, the 512MB cards will be out VERY soon. Doom 3 has a 512MB video setting, droooooool :glugglug

I was upgrading from a 1800+ XP, So I decided to go with the AMD 64.

I had to change the motherboard anyway..

NCIX is out of Vancouver, so you only pay 7% GST.

You will not even be able to run Doom 3 without texture compression unless you have atleast 512MB

I heard the first 512MB cards will have an SLI mode for 1024MB, droooooooooool some more :glugglug

It's in the US but they are way cheap

http://www.ecost.com/ecost/ecsplash/...sp?dpno=430746

Add it to your cart then click on the Canadian customer button and you'll be billed in Canadian dollars.

I'm telling you, wait for the 512 cards... the price of all 256MB cards will drop like CRAZY and 128MB cards will be a thing of the past. :glugglug

What happened to PCI Express? Isn't that coming out soon? Might want to wait for that and get a new mobo at the same time.

fr8 07-27-2004 06:38 PM

Anyone mention PriceWatch.com?

evildick 07-27-2004 06:39 PM
