I imagine God would be extremely stressed and depressed. All these people dying and being born and you have to mind every hair on everyone's head, and even the slightest sparrow doesn't fall without him knowing about it. That sounds like a highly stressful job, if you ask me. :)

maybe they are dyslexic pet owners that need something to deal with the stress of their problem.
