Who's the prematurely deceased celebrity you miss hearing from most?

Someone who timewise could still be alive today...

My picks:

Joey Ramone (and now that I think about it, Joe Strummer)

Wendy O. Williams

Gilda Radner (met her, got an autograph)

John Lennon (greatest theft to pop humanity)

Lucy (the comedian I wish made it to 100)

John Belushi/John Candy/Chris Farley/Horatio Sanz
oops, one of those things just doesn't belong...yet...

Divine and her buddy Edith Massey... OK, Edie might be pushing it:)

Jennifer Paterson (Two Fat Ladies, greatest cooking show ever (hey, if cancer hadn't killed her she'd easily still be here:glugglug)

Peter Ivers (under 30 or so you'll never get that one)

Who's your's?
I'm sure as soon as I post this I'll think of a dozen more.

Lots of them. But for me, probably Jim Morrison and Randy Rhoades. In addition to the ones I've already seen named here, I also miss Jim Varney and John Ritter. Those are a few I can think of at the moment. :(

They'd still be a "metal" band if he were still around. :2 cents:

tootie 07-26-2004 07:19 PM

And of course Elvis, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Jerry Garcia... (not that they died particularly young.)

tootie 07-26-2004 07:22 PM

Hell yeah, Frank basically shut down the PMRC single-handedly. We're in dire need of a Frank Zappa in these dark days... I guarantee he would be railing against his government's evisceration of human rights.

Yes, that was so sad. I remember when I heard on the news about her death in 1988, I was really shocked. I think that's the first time in my life I was affected by someone passing away. Especially so young.

She would be 29 right now :(

There's this excellent site about her

Thanks. I've bookmarked it so I can check it out later. I have an old magazine from the 80's with an article about her in it. I think I'll see if I can find it later.

Is that the court case where the senators wive's tried to ban "offensive music" ?
I watched a movie about that last week - John Denver and Dee Snider helped too - it was Denver who really kicked their asses though
