If people say the lambo wasnt trying, maybe they should be more specific and say the lambo slowed for traffic, and the supra was able to pass?

The lambos are a low to mid 13 sec car on the street at VERY best with a competent driver, dont be all shocked if you get whacked by a toyota or anything else.:glugglug

I did a quick watch of it... Looked like he was trying in both runs to me. Jap crap owned italian luxury the first run, the second one, the guy in the lambo had to save face.

Either way, I'd rather drive a lambo then a suped supra.

I think the hun should bring one of his Lambos down from the Netherlands and we can have a big lambo/supra shootout in Miami :winkwink:

Hey, I have an S2000 pushing 350 rear wheel horsepower, AND a single turbo Supra that put down 686 horsepower to the rear tires as well. :)


A lambo VS my 350 rwhp S2000 would be interesting....

What've you done to the s2000? Did you go the comptech supercharger route?

I like Lambos. I like almost anything that's fast. I'll give anyone a ride in my Supra if they wanna know what it's like to ride in a car with nearly 700 to the wheels. :)

No, I bought a Vortech. It comes with the aftercooler without needing to pay $1000 extra. Also, I added an AEM EMS, 785cc injectors, and a smaller pulley for 11 psi of boost. :)

Very nice. I'm guessing it more than makes up for the lack of torque in the stock 2000. Have you done anything suspension wise?

A Lambo is a much heavier car if I'm not mistaken. The Supra and the Lamborghini also run the same double wishbone front and rear suspensions. Running same size and compound tires I wonder which would handle better?

At 4700 RPM it has the same power as the motor did at 8800 when it was NA :)

Supra what $30k? With $15k mods? That's 50% of the price in mods.

I bet my left nut, my right nut, both eyes and your left nut that if the owner of the $200k lambo puts $100k into modifying his lambo (50% of the price) the supra would have been smoked. It's also clear that the lambo slowed down in the second run when the supra overtook.

You can't compare stock with modified.
A friend of mine had an old beetle with modified porche engine in it, and it would do wheelies, and run like hell... that doesn't mean I'd take that over a porsche ;)

I actually care to disagree. Alot of it is the evolution of the car. The Supra has been so modified by so many different companies that you can go out and spend 50k on a Supra that will put out somewhere in excess of.... I think something stupid like 1800 horsepower. If you spent 100k on a Supra and 100k on a Lambo you'd quickly find that the Surpa would be faster, and if you broke something, ( motor ) it wouldn't cost 50k+ on the Supra to build a new motor.

If the Lambo had a huge aftermarket, the parts to make them faster wouldn't be so expensive. I just ordered a new factory replacement engine ( my Supra engine was getting tired with 108,000 miles, 40,000 of those miles at 550+ horsepower ) for only $2000 US. The engine is known from the factory to handle almost 1000 horsepower.

I'd rather have a Lambo AND a Supra :)

I'd want the supra as a straight line car, but only because nothing sounds better than a turbo spooling up.

I'd want the lambo for canyon carving.
