You bought pre-paid traffic? Was it good or bad?
 

I want to know how the rest of the GFY readers and posters do with traffic they have bought. I'd also like to know who the best traffic dealers are, as well as the worst! Wow, I'm HIGHLY interested in a thread like this. I was actually gonna post something like this myself, but you beat me to it, he he. I spent a couple of hours last night, trying to find a decent place to buy traffic from, but no luck.

I'm not looking at buying traffic to a paysite or anything, I'm looking at purchasing traffic to help expand my current trades.

I've bought traffic on couple of occasions and it has been of great help. Typically they pay for themselves on the initial pass then I profit from member retention. Plus it helped increase my standings on all my link exchanges so it really is impossible to tell exactly how much I made off it.

I'd need to know a little more about your site. There are lot's of places to buy traffic but you need to do it from places that cater toward the type of traffic you need. I run an amateur site and purchased the traffic through other amateur sites.

I would be particulary looking for blindlinks/textlinks. But I want to buy a small amount first before I buy larger volumes.

well, I went on a traffic buying frenzy awhile back, I hung out with different aliases on different boards and well, found a lot of interesting information.

In my mailbox that i reserve just for traffic brokers I have literally DOZENS of people who claim to sell traffic.

I found that the majority of the traffic I buy is crap.... It's really funny really, before I bought from any traffic broker I was sure to approach him/her anonymously and find out what they are paying for different types of traffic.
The majority I talked to buy thier traffic for around .002 a pop, or less in some instances. I have done it both ways, I have approached traffic dealers (one particular experiment from netpond no less ) and asked about the price of adult search engine traffic, was given 11 cents on up for the good stuff.
And they said there wasn't a lot of that, as some of the the bigger paysites have a huge hold on thier se inventory for the time being.

I then approached the same people as a search engine traffic dealer, and they told me that currently they had no buyers at the moment
for such high quality traffic and couldn't/wouldn't give more than 3 cents per.

What a joke. I bought a few hundred dollars worth as a test, and the traffic I bought from them converted at around 1 in 3000 while an identical test performed at the same time from another dealer of traffic i paid 4 cents per converted at better than 1 in 400...

I have names, dates, emails, hard data...
but, what does it matter?
lol! When I find time today I will post an email list of traffic brokers who i have found to be good, as well as the ones that I think are pretty bad....

And, I am looking for traffic that converts!
My site is funky, unusual, if your traffic converts at all,
it will convert on my site.

I like to initially buy in test amounts and move to bigger checks
if the traffic proves to be convertable.

I thought that a lot more people would post to this thread. For some odd reason I imagined there were more traffic brokers and dealers
that might hang in the go fuck yourself board.
I think I'll head over to porncity and try the same post. Really all i want is for some of these guys to stick thier heads outta the ground and talk about what they do, which is, sell traffic...
