smart people will always think they are right and that they can't be wrong. A very smart friend of mine played around with stocks. At first he invested $1000 and nearly doubled it. So then he takes another $5000, he did it the same way he doubled his $1000 but it wasnt working. He kept losing money but couldn't admit that his way was no longer right. He lost it all.

That reminds me of an African saying; "You can not step in to the same river twice."

Why in the hell not? The river's not going anywhere, unless it's dry season.. and even then you could step in the river many times before it'd dry out.

Good point, unless of course that saying means that the river is always changing, therefore it isn't the same river. Sure the name is the same, but the river itself has changed.

that saying doesnt mean that you physically can't, its something more along the lines of you may get away with robbing a bank once but try it again and you probably wont.
