So i was asked to sell this guys stuff on ebay
 

I sell lots of stuff on ebay and this older guy wanted to unload all of his old knives and stuff

pretty good stuff he has ... did some market research for him ... looks as if the going rate for the products he has is around 30$ per and seems to be a decent market. I have sold on ebay many many times .. but I have never doen it for other people always my self....

What % would be a fair % to take?

15% should be a good deal

hmm i dunno will have to think about it. at 15% it would be making pretty good money with the amount he wants to sell

no amount is worth dealing with bguyers, the post office , packaging items...

not for some crappy knife set.

Lets say they sell for 1k, thats only 150 for you.

for all that crap? not worth the time in my eyes. but to some sure it is....

make him pay all fees - espically if you only taking a crappy 15%.

Make him sign something that says he has to take care of all the worries and you are simply selling ths stuff. It is dangerous because if anything goes wrong it is your account that is going to get nailed to the wall.....

25 percent if you are paying the fees, 20 if he is.

10 - 15 percent is fine for a simple "finders fee" but if you are actually doing some work, you deserve more.
