hova 07-25-2004 07:16 PM

It was his best tour in four years, if not his best tour ever.

He was just unbeatable

Paraskass 07-25-2004 07:16 PM

His chimiotherapy gave him radioactive powers.

bllott 07-25-2004 07:17 PM

hopefully, he won't be positive for drugs..

What he does you can apply to your own life as well. He practices and trains for his chosen profession more than anyone else and therefore he is the best their has ever been.

The instructions to life are written down, you just have to but the book.

But the book, Or BUY the Book ?? Even if half the peeps on here, or generally anywhere, Bought the book, and it was all HIGHLIGHTED to the Good parts.........To follow this, and You will be a success..........They would still fail, and blame their falioure on some other person or event :2 cents:

Many people would like for him to fail, so they are looking for doping. I hope they never find such things.

There are always jealous idiots who instead of striving for something, try and tear down anothers accomplishements :2 cents:

SGx 07-26-2004 05:48 AM

again, as said in another topic about your heroe

he only races tour de france, in comparison, it s like football players playing only one tournament over a complete year

therefore, compared to other racers, he is in better health condition, though, he is not #1 cyclist, and far from it...

Actually it's the Italians that dislike him the most. Crazy fuckers threw tacks all over the road trying to pop his tires a few races back.

The french are the ones shouting at him at the beginning of the stages (at the VIllage de Depart) and the germans were the ones spitting in his face during some of the stages (mainly on L'alpe Dues). Its the Italian athletes that dont like him

So what's the next step for Lance?

Go for 7? Race other races? Personally, I think he should try to win the Giro & the Tour in the same year. No one has ever done that & it would be really impressive.

Marco Pantani won the Tour and the Giro in the same year. ANd some others did that before him.

Armstrong will just go for a 7th imo

I was thinking last night JFK, Lance deserves a thread on GFY :) I was going to do a subject like "Can you say Badass?" and then have a pic of him.

An amazing feat, an inspiration.

Are you sure he won them both in the same year? I know he won them both, but I didn't think in the same year.

I guess he will, but I doubt if he will seriously try to win them. He will probably ride them as trainig for the tour, he did that the last 6 years and that worked quit well.

But there are sereious rumours that he will ride the Giro or the Vuelta next year, and no tour.

That guy is like a machine...

He's also rude as hell in person. He was down here for some charity event last year that my ex was in as well because he races and owns a chain of stores that sell high end bikes. I didn't personally talk to him but he was bitching and moaning to everyone. :2 cents:

yeah, no shit! Landis on that final climb in the alps - holy shit. And Azevedo in the pyrenees too. USPS is by far the strongest team in the tour.

The route
Running from Saturday July 3rd to Sunday July 25th, the 2004 Tour de France will be made up of one prologue and 20 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,390 kilometres.

Training your ass off in order to stay in shape: $ ?? Who knows?
Spending all year conditioning $ ??
winning your 6th tour de france. $ ??

Battling cancer and whipping it's ass ? Priceless :thumbsup

Guess he is not perfect then! Perhaps its his defense mechanism, so many people want a piece of you when you are famous:2 cents:
