I just got a new glass piece, and the glass screens for it came separate.. the lady told me to superglue them in there, but is this safe?

how would you get them to stay in?

I shouldnt have to even say that but apparently it needs to be reiterated. What exactly do you think will happen with the glue gets heated up, its gonna gets smoked just like the weed and that I would think could be deadly.

I hate screens but the blown glass bowl I had for my bong had to big of a hole in it so I had to use a fucking screen.

try jamming the screen down deep with something pokey like a dull pencil or its eraser. jam it as far in as you can. if it still wants to pop out, try cutting down the diameter of the screen and try the same thing again.

if its just an issue of slipperiness and not the size of the hole, fuck it. go au natural (no screen) and suck soft hehhe :Graucho

If you smoke the good stuff, it's usually plenty 'buddy' enough to not need a screen. Avoid it at all cost.

this is the style it is.. so there's nowhere really to jam the screen in, and the hole is too big to not have a screen..

no screen for this is required, you may get some ash towards the end but if you know how to hit it you can limit that to very little.

I remember being somethng like 12 and me and a couple friends smoking out of a coke can that we made into a pipe because non of us had a pipe or anything...LOLOL

Dude, I blow glass for a living. Most glass pipes that you buy don't need a screen. When you say glass screens, you are just refering to normal screens that would go in any pipe, right? If so, don't use it unless you have to. Glass is cleaner and screens always get clogged up and resin tastes like shit :2 cents:

You don't use screens with glass pipes ..... when it needs to be clean put in alcohol for 24 hours rinse with water and its back like the day you got it

its not really a screen.. its a small small glass 3 prong star type thing that fits right over the hole, but it wont stay put

no screens necessary with glass... sure, the first few uses may cause you to suck some hot ash in due to the fact that the glass is still slick. Once it resinates a little bit, the ash will start sticking to the sides of the inner bowl and you wont get ash anymore.

That pipe that you posted an image of doesn't really need a screen bro. Like the guy before me said, just let it get a little resinated and you'll be fine. Yeah, everyone likes to blaze here too but some states have crazy fucked up laws about that shit. Texas, Iowa, and Pennsylvania to name a few. And the feds don't really like any of it. John Asshahahahaha would like to put an end to all the headshops if he can. California supreme court says it's okay to sell them here, but the feds can still supercede that shit if they are feeling like they want to. But as long as you all aren't cops :1orglaugh , I would love to make you a tobacco water pipe :winkwink:

Glass screens suck, they are pointless if you have a glass pipe, just smoke good weed and you won't need a screen.

Anyways with glass screens they aren't even suposed to stay in, you just set it in there and use it, and eventually it just kinda sticks in there.

As people have said, DO NOT USE SUPERGLUE. It's toxic. I always use glass and I never use screens, the trick is picking out the perfect pipe. Fat bowl, small hole, and a lot of room between the bowl and the outside of the pipe (so it doesn't get hot). That picture you posted doesn't look like it needs a screen, unless you're smoking shake. Pack a nice bud in there and give 'er.

I tried those glass screens once, just placing them in there sans glue, and needless to say they fell out every time I tapped out a bowl. Decent idea but I don't see them working for anyone the way they are now.

hehe, I knew a guy who had one of those years ago. Pretty cool but it got ressed up really fast.

Anyway once you go glass you can't go back to metal. It's like smoking, well, metal.
