I've been thinking about Spain too, but since I found out in Turkey you pay no tax at all over your "internet" income I'm in doubt.

I had very serious plans to relocate to Spain as well, but some people who used to live there, as well as a close frioend of mine who sells property there, convinced me otherwise (even though I still might go).

Well .. I'm a very social guy who loves to talk to lots of people and enjoy people around me who know me. In Spain, I would not know anybody and I do not speak Spanish (although I have the books, tapes etc.. right here to study it). Of course - being very social and open - I would get to know people fast, but it is not the same as having true friends aound me.

Taxes would be a reason to go there, but then you must live there 100%, not keep renting your house here if I'm not mistaken.

I like it when people do what I ask them when I ask them, not mañana. Calling a phonecompany because i have trouble freaks me out here, imagine how bad it would be there.

Read the stories on the links I gave you, you'll at least think twice.


On the other hand, I'm not much of a traveler either, if YOU are, go for it.

Ok I can see your points and will read some more on the sites.

As far as the traveler part, I always said if I was single I would relocate without a doubt. But since I am not we both agreed on Spain being an option if we ever considered it :)

So did I. But now that I am single for a couple months, I'm still here;)
