new 2257 - what stops someone reselling your content?
back when I was in te content game it was always a no brainer that if you gave someone copies of the moidel ID and releases that the buyer could just turn around and resell what they bought - they have all the info they need to sell it on to some unsuspecting 3rd party
so how does this new 2257 stop that? i cant see that it does :2 cents: |

Then you sue their ass and thank them for making you the $$$ :2 cents:

maybe a buyer should only be sent a proof of age doc which could and should be seperate from a model release doc.
an intelligent buyer would want to have as much documentation as possible to cover their ass. have em sign a no resell contract. sue if a person resells. |

First of all, what about all the content providers up till now who have sold their content WITHOUT docs??? What's from preventing anybody from doing anything??
Secondly, if you don't have it specifically stated in your license for no resale, then you are just a dummy. |

Uh yes but someone wouldnt be telling the buyer they were reselling it... they would pose as the owner, so your 2nd point doesnt really matter |

people do what they wanna regadless of what they sign but when a supeona/ LE or a thug arrive at your office or home ... yo vic you ready for the mini lobster season tue and wed? i gotta get my boat ready and renew the license, hopefully it'll be calm. |
Put your name, address, phone number, email and ICQ at the top of the model release. This one is so simple to answer it's funny. :1orglaugh
IMO You need to supply the model release to prove the date the content was shot. But if no one supplies this info what's to stop someone selling it without the model release? |
